Hopefully we don't lose a Cataphract Varient when this one comes in.

Why would they do something like that? It's not like they took away a Centurion variant when they gave us the Wang...er...

Uh-oh...

triple UAC5 is more unbalanced here, and it has 3 medium laser for backup, max armor, goes no slower than the 4X, still uses standard for durability, has AMS + CASE, and 6 tons of UAC5 ammo.

Check my post on the front page for the build. Triple Gauss will look like a joke, Dual Gauss will probably as well.

have fun with your 10 shots (2 tons of ammo), 40.5 kph max speed, and crappy (stock CTF-3D) armor

That was the best I could make it, if you can do better, let me know.

Can't really do alot with 25 tons I admit....
Now Triple UAC/5....

yeah, it's pretty ridiculous...

I was able to put one together (in a 3rd party program) with ES, 175XL, and 2 tons of ammo... Every crit used and stock CTF-3D armor values (which are low)

Max speed of 40.5kph... I guess if you wanted to be faster, you could drop some ammo, or armor...

Bottom line: that will not be effective... inb4 p2w claims because it is the only mech that CAN mount 3 Gauss Rifles right now...

Ah, but you're not thinking outside the box.

Try it with triple AC/10's instead. That'll save you 9 tons right there and they actually have higher DPS.

That ammo is gonna go fast with 3 UAC/5... Thats about one full minute of continuous fire..

I carry 3 tons on my Hunchback with a single UAC/5 and I still run out of ammo with it..

Which is why you have the backup medium lasers. UAC for slow, easy to hit targets, medium lasers for fast targets, and your ammo will last - I use the 4x currently and it isn't too bad at all with 2x ac5 and 2x ac2 and 2x medium lasers to keep my ammo running for a good deal, I run about 1.5 tons of ammo per gun, this will be more (50 shots per gun) with 3x UAC5. Now it will go faster, yes, but you'll hopefully be able to make them count unless you're just blasting everything. Ultimately, you'll be dealing insane short term DPS, and won't be out of the fight when the ammo runs out.

You already can do a Gaussaphract along the same ideas as a K2. Triple Gauss is barely doable and not at all effective, as noted above- just not enough tonnage to give yourself more than a modestly armored and incredibly expensive triple Gauss turret with virtually zero ammo.

Triple UAC/5 'Phract was already almost possible with the -4X, so no new shakes something new there. Triple AC/10 might be effective, triple LB-10X could be done but isn't likely to be effective, triple Gauss is doable (barely) but incredibly inefficiently.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the following possible hardpoint layouts:

Option 1

Ballistics: Right Arm, Left Arm, Right Torso
Energy: Right Arm, Left Arm, Head

Option 1a

Ballistics: Right Arm, Left Arm, Right Torso
Energy: Center Torso, Center Torso, Head

Option 2

Ballistics: Right Arm, Right Arm, Right Torso
Energy: Left Arm, Left Arm, Head

Option 2a

Ballistics: Right Arm, Right Arm, Right Torso
Energy: Center Torso, Center Torso, Head

I think one of the first options is most likely, and would be most useful from a player standpoint... but the possibility for 3 Gauss (you'd have to strip *everything* else, but still) borders a lot of p2w land.

Edit: Oh, sure, *now* I read through all the comments and go look at the picture... so I was close with my first guess, but not quite right...

Picture makes the hardpoint layout pretty clear.

RA: 1 Ballistic, 1 Energy
RT: 1 Ballistic, 1 Energy
LT: 1 Energy, 1 AMS
LA: 1 Ballistic

Yup. I can already picture a killer 3x ML 3x UAC5 build

Come to think of it, if you were going to attract a lot of the WoT fanbase, what better way than a Russian Battlemech?

Kerensky's Orion is about the only better choice they could have made, but then they don't have Orions yet. ;)

How was it possible before? AC20 = 10 slots, UAC5 = 5 slots. Can't fit 2 UAC where you can't fit a single AC20. Might be thinking of 2x UAC5 and 2x AC5
