Before the founder's program, it was sworn that we wouldn't have premium Mechs, because that too closely toes-the-line of pay-to-win, and they ardently held that they would never ever make this game "P2W".
When Founder's came out, those Mechs were restricted to specific, already-implemented, could-buy-for C-bills, chassis variants. There was much complaining (And much hurrah-ing), but in the end, it was more pay-to-reduce-grind than pay-to-win, and that's okey, that's the best way to monetize a free-to-play game (well, second best. Vanity is the best, because people are so vain [they probably think this thread is about them]).
Then came the first Hero Mech: Yen-Lo-Wang. Wait, what? A premium Mech with unique hard points?! Wasn't it just promised up and down that such things wouldn't be in the game before and during the Founder's promotion? Not only that, then an already-in-game variant of the same Mech that had similar capabilities (CN9-AH) was removed?! The CN9-AH was garbage, don't get me wrong, but that's still a supremely ****** move.
And now, now we have a new "Hero" Mech. Driven by someone no one's ever heard of before. Really "heroic" there. I think (hope) your bean-counters are going to be surprised when it doesn't sell a fraction as well as YLW because it's not a HERO's mech. People know Kai Allard-Liao, they don't know this made-up-to-sell-a-premium-mech " Grigori Kovalenko" fellow.
I understand you guys have to monetize. I really do. A game that doesn't make money is a game that dies. I swear, I get it (that's one of the reasons I bought the founder's pack!). What I don't understand is going back on your word. Are boosts and vanity items really insufficient to fund the game? Or are you guys just the latest victims of corporate greed? Well know this: that $60 you got out of me for founders is the first and last money you, or your publisher will ever receive from my wallet. I refuse to patronize those who betray my trust.

peopel are too fearful of anything. Slightly different hardpoints will not ruin the game! Its not liek they are giving us a mech with ECM slot BAp slot, jump jet slots, 6 energy slots 4 missile slots and 4 ballistic slots, with a base engine of 320.
The yen lo wang in fact was a VERY underpowered mech. THis cataphtrac is also less versatile than the others. SO people need to stop moaning for nothing.

You're right. After those camo prices and suddendly this made-up hero mech (Just after the Cataphract release) seems like PGI needs money and needs it fast.

Fine, you asked for it... this is just a few of the many I have, I don't think the mods would like it if I cluttered this up with half a dozen photos. Some are when they were fresh, unfinished or are just bad photos (never bothered to take good ones).
Just great :] I see you got Novgorod crest.
My grandfather had tattoo of Iliya Myrometz on horse like picture i linked previously in this thread. But it was without color and with slight "green hue".
Vsego dobrogo.
