and what does this have to do with the thread?
just try to show if really want a nice paint job on mechs. The camouflage in game so weak. If i want to spend real money for the paint i want a realy good quality design. Btw. camouflage design useful only if i can choose what map i want to play. It means if i use winter camouflage in forest map means useless. So if useles i want my mech design will be cool and i dont care the map is suitable with my mech design or not.. And i think unique faction design much better than use power point in game..

Seriously? That joke of an argument has no validity here. Of course we know what we are talking about here, it's not on same level with world's problems to begin with. But in the context of this game it is a problem equal among others. It's our money, and we have the right to criticize things that we think are a waste of our money. We want to have more bang for our buck and they want to make money, so we (as customers) will let them hear our opinion. It helps both parties.
*game btw

I posted this before and it is still my opinion...
Pay per spray vs. Unlocked paint job per mech...Let's assume 300mc per paint job.
Pay per spray: maybe 1 paint job for my favorite 3 mechs = 900mc
Unlocked paint job per mech: at least 3-4 paint jobs for my 3 favorite mechs = 3600mc
Your call PGI...
Wait for community warfare, poor souls who like to play in a merc company with friends a b c and in another with friends x y z, both companies with exclusive paint jobs for x mcs... Clever PGI, very clever... Don't misunderstand me it is ok to pay per design change, but it should be unlocked and swapable for the mech variant you bought it for. Changing one color of your design is a change of the design i.e. Mc.

Over the years there have been many f2p online games that have also offered a subscription option if you wanted it. This subscription would give you a monthly allowance of in game currency or other items; it provides the game creators with a steady stream of income and satisfies another market of gamers along with the f2player's and the ones happy to buy game currency.
As for the camo costs. I would rather pay mc once to allow a chosen mech to be able to be repainted, which then you can repaint that mech as many times as you want. Or if that just wouldn't fit the business model then have a limited number of resprays.

Develop a game for players or for money i know a hard choose. But for example : Yen Lo Wang was a good idea : barbie girl in the window or useless camouflage i think bad idea..

People are complaining about the cost of a purely cosmetic item that has absolutely no effect on game play and that is 100% optional AND HAS IN GAME CURRENCY ALTERNATIVES. A skin in lol can go for as much as $14 apparently and people are complaining about a skin costing as little as half a dollar?
Wow people, Get some perspective all up in this place.

At the moment I'm quite happy to sink my MC into tinkering in the camo specs, I can change everything without having to save out anything until I'm happy with it then save it, but a cost reduction on the premium colours would be nice.

I get your point, but its not just because you think paying 14$ for a skin is OK than others in this game agreed with you.
At least, your 14$ skin is a permanently owned item, right ?
That the whole point that PGI need to think about.

It is called constructive feedback, perhaps you have heard of it.
It's the first implementation and pgi needs feedback to create a system which will bring them the most profit (a lot of sales at a lower price are always better then few sales at a higher price).
@Topic:
I concur, prices seem too high imo if you consider you don't get to keep the color.
I've bought one color with mc so far, but I'm also reluctant to spend any more mc on it in the current state.
Now if prices per color would be lower, or if we had an option to buy colors for permanent use with mc (even at a substantially higher price) I would surly spend some more money on it.

I agree that when you purchase a "camo spec" (Dazzle for instance) that you should own it, and can switch in and out of it with cbills... But what I think PGI can do (maybe? I don't work there) would be like this:
- You purchase dazzle camo for Jenner JR7D
- You own it for JR7D - but need to purchase it for other mechs you own, if you choose to.
That way the company can still make money. Let's face it here guys - it's a business and theyneed to make money.
The same logic (in my opinion) should apply to colors. You buy 3 colors once for your Jenner and can use them forever on that Jenner. Switching out colors / repainting costs cbills. You want those colors on another mech, say a Centurion? You have to use MC to purchase those colors for the Centurion.
It seems to make sense to me. Yes? No?

There you go, there's my feedback
Here's the thing, I think I own 8 chassis + 1 founders. I have experimented with the colors on most chassis and found one I really like on my K2 and I bought it, cost me all of $1.5 (I think considering how much I paid for my MC. Can't be more than $3) I still have 7 other shassis to paint and more as I buy more mechs. The other thing is I already named the mech as well, it's called Derpy because what the heck else am I gonna say when 2 AC20 shots hit you in the face? Derp!
Now the color scheme fits perfectly with the name. It's never ever gonna change. Maybe one day we will have the right colors available to make a corp color scheme that looks like we want it to. Even though a color scheme like that will never be required in any way (we are a bunch of chilled dudes) I might feel like running a K2 in a tournament one day with 'official' colors. When that day comes I'll buy another K2.
So whatever, I feel this is a lot of drama over the silliest thing ever, but you are allowed your opinion

oh wait, education in my country would be first world, too.
Sorry
you know... this is not about state of the game, it's about charging money. This has nothign to do with the game still in development, or not. It's about an insulting business modell
AND btw. should we all just stop to post here? no feedback then, and as we have seen during the shitstorm cause of LRMs, we need shitstorms so they listen.

I agree on the MC thing totally. The prices are very fair.
I disagree on the "it'll never change" part. I'm the kind of person who will change his skin every couple of matches if I could. I'm probably in the minority there; I won't complain if it's not implemented - I'm just throwing ideas around that might be cool.

That having been said, paying for a camo spec for a particular variant SHOULD be permanent. And it should not be more than 300MC. People will be buying camo for every variant they use a lot. That is a lot of cash.
