Radar flips wildly it's static direction.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Boot the game.
2. Login to the game.
3. Launch a match.
4. Observe radar going frantic.

Haven't had frantic radar, but I did recently have all the friendly/enemy carats get frozen on the 360 bar up top, coinciding with all the minimap carats getting frozen in place, for a whole match. Still was able to use targeting box so match went well. Also, ammo and weapons were not displaying correctly. (Weapon groups frozen / ammo not decreasing as expected) (Caustic Valley)

i had my radar kinda bug out... torso indicator/cone always point UP, but the mech/arrow would rotate instead... very confusing

Same as Bitslizer for me, too. The minimap would show my travel direction and torso direction facing up and my compass wouldn't turn, but the mech's on my minimap would show their correct placement and direction. This has only happened once today, on Caustic Valley.

Had it occur only once. Its on SnowForest and with the Trial-Awesome. It did not occur on any other map or any other mech so far. So I can´t reproduce.

Same prop with the frozen radar carats but hours before the 27th patch.
If Ammo was affected I dont know, had 2 PPC only. Map was Forest Colony.

It was a radar/HUD combo. It happened fast, so I can't give 100% to all details but here we go.
1) My HUD had a minor visual anomaly at the start. The throttle cast a gold bar from top to bottom of my screen.
2) The red/green carets never appeared over any mechs.
3) A single enemy entered our area. Having now HUD indicators I used my radar to identify the enemy and let em fly. And I picked the wrong mech. I know I friendly-fired he chatted me after asking why. Chat failed me in spectator mode so I couldn't respond, but that is a long-time known bug.
4) My friendly fire was not a light touch. I have a feeling my friendly mech was on a teamspeak server and ordered my death (for self preservation). My entire team started firing on me... here is the interesting part: When my team decided to terminate me, as they friendly-fired all of their radar icons flipped to red. Perhaps that is a planned feature. If so, I vote against. I want to unambiguously know who my teammates are.

So - with respect to just this poll. My radar was flipping mechs from green to red seeming to correspond with being a target of friendly fire. But it did seem to be in correct the areas with correct facings. And the HUD failed. Not pleased. I personally ruined that one match for my team and couldn't even apologize because chat was broken.... again.

Win7 64-bit,
AMD (high end card),
Quad core intel ~3.0 Ghz. 6 GM Ram.
It was on Forest Colony
It happened once in a customized Hunchback, (max speed 76, SRM-Streak and ML loadout)

Mini-map displays as a black box with nothing inside. So far it has only happened on the Caustic map, but I have not played enough to verify that this is the only map where it happens. A shutdown and restart of the Game client cleared it. I was piloting the Cataphract D variant when this occured.

Just got similar glitch, in forest snow, with my founder Jenner :

Right at the start, the radar stay locked with the minimap in the same position, no matter how you move. Only the arrow of your mech moves accordingly.
Then, short after that, with no apparent reason (apart from being shot at with various weapons), HUD completely disappear, then switch to "overheating", then no HUD again, etc.

Even powering off/on repeatedly will not resolve the problem (minimap still stuck, HUD came back again, but seconds after become crazy again), making the whole game unplayable.

Other controls arent affected, only crazy switching HUD happens.

-1x no minimap, was able to target mechs but unable to see my own locked target icons/info
-5x no minimap

Seems to occu mostly on Forest Colony maps and Caustic

Does this occur with a specific mech or any mech?
-Mostly noticed in Jenner-D(F)

After patching, played a match in night frozen city.

2 issues occurred.
1) I had no HUD and my screen kept flickering back and forth between heat shutdown and normal running. Tried powering up and down a couple times, didn't fix the problem.

2) I had no radar and couldn't call up the map with "B". After I got killed, in the mechs I was viewing, they had no radar displayed (that I could see).

Only encountered this bug once out of about 12 matches last night.

Got same issue on first game after patch, HUD works only then I turn my torso in right direction to the end, if I turn it to middle, hud completely dissapeared.

4 times in total, various issues with the minimap:
2 times the problem described at the top if the topic - minimap spinning frantically
1 time no minimap whatsoever
1 time after opening tactical big map, minimap got stuck with the portion of the big map corresponding to its HUD possition

2. Does this occur on a specific map or any map?
minimap rotating frantically - both on caustic valley
minimap absent - forest colony
minimap stuck with tactical map piece - caustic valley

3. Does this occur with a specific mech or any mech?
HBK-4SP, HBK-4P

Main problem: Radar/ Minimap either has no 'map' and radar, starts with colors only (purple, blue, green, red, maybe a few more), or appears frozen.

1. How often? Quite uncommon, but has happened a few times throughout my MWO experience.
2. Maps? So far, only Frozen City and Caustic Valley.
3. Mechs affected? I haven't tried this with any other Mech other than my Raven -2X
4. Specs:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 620

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6570

RAM: 4 GB

MY radar has flipped out, been blank, and had the direction arrow turned but everyother indicator stayed teh same.

I also have several times where the minimap, weapons box, and the wireframe box all continually flashed throughout the entire match.
Has happened in my Founders jenner, on different maps.

What are your basic system specs? (CPU, GPU, RAM) Q 9450 OC'd to 3.2 ghz, Nvidia GTX 670 EVGA stock clocks, 8 gb DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24 2T

Only had this happen once, my radar would only show in one direction, and it kept showing my mech facing in one direction no matter where I turned.

Joined a game, Friend or Foe targeting systems were not functioning. Minimap was displaying random markers, and some markers were 'stuck' on the minimap

Had the mini map bug out on me last night. I had all these red arrows around me but couldn't tell where he was unless I could actually see him. Once he was in front off me the arrow was showing me on the mini map that he was behind me. Then flicker then show he was to the side meanwhile he was infront the whole time. Target and weapons worked fine. River city map with an Awesome.

after playing approximately 30 games since the patch I have only encountered it once so far.

Does this occur on a specific map or any map?
I am not sure due to encountering it only once on Caustic Valley

Does this occur with a specific mech or any mech?
Due to only encountering it once I don't know, I was piloting the Awesome 8B
