I request to change the name of mech on Solovej Rasboynic.
the Nightingale the Robber. The legendary bandit. Casts a remote attack. Penalty in the melee.

At the moment it is an insult of the Slavic community.

The reason:Ilya Muromets - people's hero! Sample Strength and Honor! He never betrayed and did not steal! He's a melee. With honor and pride to join the battle against many enemies. He did not use ranged attacks from ambush.

An example of such a mech could serve Atlas and Highlander melee oriented face to face.

Mech Cataphract with this layout and history Pilot deserve another name - Solovej Rasboynic .
Opponent Ilya Muromets.

The legendary bandit using ranged attacks from ambush.

The history and the very type of Mech ideal given name.In order not to offend the Slavic community please rename the new Mech Hero in Solovej Rasboynic .

In order to repair the damage for insulting honor and dignity Slavic heroes can release a special version of Hero Mech like Atlas-based melee combat with the hero's story, not a gangster!

Atlas-based melee combat with the hero's story = Ilya Muromets.

As a slavic person Im more insulted by your thread than the mechs name : /

So let me see if i have this straight. As i understand it PGI is a canadian based compny, it is crating a game that is mostly played by americans (who dont even know their own history) and your mad because the name they pulled out of a hat reflects on your history. I would be willing to bet 75% of the game members in the us would not have been able to identify where the name was from and assumed it was arabic or east indian.
Try not to take it too personally.

Do not be bothered by this silly OP: He is of questionable sanity. Indeed, we do suspect some sort of insanity (or, y'know trolling) for some of us believe his post is too stupid to be true.
The 'mech in question is by no means offensive or insulting to any Russian or Slavic person, so do not be misled here.
The mere possibility of this to be otherwise is laughable. Not to mention the 'mech to be Canon, which means it should be left intact. Anyway, shall we all thank the TS for a good minute of laughter he has delivered to us?
Close this thread please.

As an American, I'm going to have take serious issue with this statement.

75%? Really?

Not even close. More like 99% (including me).

And I didn't assume it was Arabic or East Indian. I assumed it was a Russian chick.

Admittedly, I would also have assumed that the name was feminine (as an alternate spelling to "Ilia", familiar to me through the character Ilia Volyova from the Revelation Space series).

I also admit that I had to look it up to see that it is apparently (and originally) a masculine name - namely, a Slavic short-form for Elijah.

However, I did correctly assume that the name was Slavic in origin (though, i did not assume that it was necessarily Russian).

Ilya reaches a bit further than that.

He was one of the bogatyrs who protected the kingdoms of eastern Slavics against Tatars. So he protected both Russian and Ukrainian people (and Belorussian).

OP, why not go above and beyond teh call of duty and ask to rename it to Father Frost, because he's giving many presents in a shell fashion filled with sweets.

Wouldn't Ilianya be the feminine form? Personally I love Russian history.
