Really like the new paint capabilitys from the newest patch but I wonder why not give founders the choice/ability to remove founders skin and repaint a founders mech.
The crew/clan I play with wants each member to paint their mech to match the team so we all look alike and identified as part of the same group, the problem is that I can only change one color on my founders mech which is my favorite mech.
Come on guys give us the choice to remove the unique founders skin

That´s a great answer right there...

What does he do with his founder´s bonus then? He did pay for that... 120 bucks! And now you´re suggesting he should spend extra c-bill, MC and an Mech Bay (also MC) just to change colors and on top of that he should never use his founder´s bonus again. Genius! Did you actually do that?

I agree with the poster, just make the founder´s skin removable, like the PC gamer one, you can either apply it or just use the default one, while still keeping the bonuses you got from early financing the game.

Well I´m a bit on the fence about replacing the founders skins with others. Arent he founders mechs basically like hero mechs? You cannot change their skins either. I actually didn´t buy the extra mech as I'm mostly fine with the founder skin and assumed as much when I bought into the program. More choice would be great though but then the mechs become a bit less special.

Also why is all so expensive, I'd like to be able to paint my mechs in all one scheme without having to buy the paint for every mech.

Yes, I understand that, completely changing the pattern might take away a little of the flair. Maybe changing the whole pattern is not a good idea. But at least we should be able to change the color channels (like we actually can change one of them, the yellow one, but not the overall blue). That would still keep them different, but with some customization.

The same goes for hero mechs actually, that Yen-Lo-Wang would look great with that red sun on a black background!

Yeah i'm not fussed about camo specs, just having the base colour changeable. The grubby/faded paint effect would still be there, as well as all the grey edging.

I've tried a few times to paint but it doesn't seem to be working. I haven't seen anyone on the battlefield with a custom paint job either.

Are you referring to the founders? I so... no, we can´t change them.

If your talking in general, then yes, it´s pretty much working and people are using all kinds of color. Either you have a bug in your client or you missed it, which is not that hard actually.

I explain myself: this game has so much fog and that, if you´re not close to other mechs, the colors are completely washed off, so all you see are really hulking grayish things. It´s even worse in pitched battle, because everyone is glowing red and all of the smoke. Try to get a good close look (I mean, closer than 150 m) at your teammates at the start of the match, unless you´re bugged you´ll find some nice paints.

If you don't have the PC gamer code some mechs currently have no colourable textures, such as the Hunchbacks.

Just let us paint the founders mechs in whatever color we want, keep the unique models because they look badass.
