Since PPC's are likely getting EMP like effects at some point, would it make sense if they also disrupted/knocked out ECM effects for a short amount of time?

It's a lightning cannon, that's pretty much canon, it has emp-like effects when you fire multiple at once.

If they add that, would it not make since for that same effect to also interfere with ECM system a little bit?

He wasn't saying it should cause an ECM effect he was saying it should temporarily interupt the ECM when you hit the mech carrying it

If PPC's can disrupt the Neurohelmet link, affecting the HUD, then reason stands that it *may* also disrupt the ECM module.
Perhaps a PPC would only disrupt the ECM module if the PPC Bolt hits the section containing the ECM module itself. Potential for a PPC to be able to do 'bleed through damage' to an ECM module (sort of like a Through Armour Critical) but requiring multiple hits to that section to deal enough damage to the ECM module itself to shut it down/fry it.

Yes this is a great idea, a countermeasure for a countermeasure. With the ECM system suppresed it would allow LRM's to get and maintain a better lock for longer and perhaps actually do some damage.

If the PPC fire is going to disrupt electronics, then it should disengage installed modules, and EW components (ECM, BAP, ??) for a similar, short, duration.

BAP, Artemis, ECM, HUD.
If you get hit by 3 ppc's you get the systems knocked off for 6 seconds for example.

I like this especially, the crit chance should be low however. It would make PPC's useful and formitable.

The effect on disabling electronic systems like ECM, Artemis, TAG, NARC and hud would be very much appreciated.

Oh yeah, and give ERPPCs a minimum rage!

There, I've said it.
