Apologies if this is in the wrong section.


I've just logged back on after a bit of break from MWO and cannot locate my PC gamer skin, I know the new patch changed how skins work so if anyone knows where it is located that would be great. I still have the coconut head so I don't think it got cleared in the patch.

I had to find mine as well. The first thing to ask is where did you leave it? If you were not using it, you should find it available as a choice as a camo spec in the mech lab of the Mech Bay. Remember it can only be used by the Founders Mechs.It should be listed under special.

1 - I have the PCGamer camo, can I use that as often as I want on different Mechs of the 8 allowed?

2 - What about the PCGamer colors, can they be reused? Seems I can set those up without the specific camo.

What do you mean? I'm not a founder and I don't have any unique varients nor have I bought hero mechs. I have no problem using the pc gamer camo on any of the mechs I've tried it on.

Where did you hear it was founder mech only? Because its not.

You can't trick out Founder's mechs with ANY paint or camo, save one bit. You can change the colour of one small set of pinstripes that barely shows up against the bleached-out Macross Mars Base paint scheme.

I should have said the first 8 mechs available to players when the skin came out. The mechs available to Founders during closed beta. Not the special "Founders mechs". Sorry for the confusion.

As of today I can use the PC Gamer colors with any skin.

When in Mech Bay and under the colors. Select the PC Gamer pattern then it will show 3 colors that come with it. You can if you wanted log into a mech. Select the pattern and select red/red/red or any combo of those 3 colors. I currenlty have different combo on 6 mechs. Infact my 3L is red/red/red. Cause we all know that red is faster .

try using it on a stock cataphract, you cant...

1 - Yes.

2 - Yes, the colors work with any pattern, on any 'Mech and cost 0 in both MC and C-bills.

The camo is fugly, but thank god it got me three free colours to play with. Those the cataptract can use. At least mine can.

I've even boughtfew colors with MC, white for my 4X (since it looks good) and yellow for my red-black-yellow D-DC, because... well... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!

Thanks for the replies. Maybe if I get around to it, I'll look into seeing if the other camo and colors bought with MC can be reused.

I can answer that, they can't. Even if you "un-equip" a color you bought, you would have to buy it again to put it back on the same mech.

PC Gamer skin... the only Skin that PGI has done right.

Well... until they decided the colors for it were too nice and they wanted to charge more money for it... then PC Gamer Red became PC Gamer Burgundy, PC Gamer white became PC Gamer Dull Gray, and PC Gamer black became, PC Gamer Dark Gray... But other than that... it's the only skin done right so far.

The old (original and correct) PC Gamer colors are still available... they've just been moved into other groups that you have to pay money for every time you want to use them.

I have discoverd you can use the PC gamer colours to apply to even a raven.
plus it does not cost cb or mc to use the three pc gamer colours: black, grey, red.
and you can use these colours over and over again
the pcagamer colours are in their own category list
