When will collision/tripping over be implemented again?

This is a question many people have asked but the only information I've seen is that it will be some times after the netcode is resolved since they took it out because it complicated the fix for the netcode hitbox problems they are having. When will the netcode be fix? (Shrug) not sure but there are some posts on the command chair forum regarding it.

Check the command chair. Might see some information regarding this.

Can't wait for the day they are reimplemented...good pilots will be ok but you know there will be a ton of light pilots with bad habits ingrained into them. Can't wait for the crying on here...

I wasn't around for knockdowns (Got my closed beta access in september, but never got around to loading it until the end of october) and I can't wait for them to be implemented so I can see how it changes gameplay. I invision jenners collapsing left and right, a truly glorious image.

Yeah it is always a boat load of fun to hip check a Jenner with your Atlas, watch it fall on its face, then you fire off an alpha strike in its back <KABOOM!!!> smokin ;)

Ok this might sound stupid but whats this hitbox Thats causing the problem? The only real beef i had with tripping other mechs up is when they would start to stand up again and there location would change place 2-3 times.

They only removed it because Paul got humiliated in game by goons through tripping, so I doubt they'll ever re add them since we can't have light mechs not being invincible to anything but lock on rockets can we.

It will probably come back as a module you have to unlock... :)

We know their internal builds are about 2 weeks ahead on average of live builds, guess how long after that incident collisions were taken out?

Almost exactly 2 weeks.

ah that is hilarious :) but i still dont think full knock downs are a good mechanic... stumbles and collision damage would be more fun for everyone...

plus the whole rag doll thing looks kinda stupid imo

Full knock downs are the only thing that kept light mechs in check man.

Now we need to resort to other invincible lights or op lock on rockets to kill them, used to be a big mech could just trample 'em and blast them.

Sure this wouldn't be a problem if the netcode were fixed but I don't think PGI is able to fix the netcode, they could just add collisions back in though.

full knock downs, not fun at all... and the whole rag doll thing is ridiculous

get the same easy target effect from a light hitting a wall or another mech dealing a small amount of damage from the collision and then having the mech stumble cutting down its speed significantly (i'm thinking like 1/5th or less instantly, and stuck at that speed for a few seconds, similar to being legged) and shaking the cockpit to make sure they have received a proper penalty for bad piloting

Also it might not be an easy shot, but it isn't impossible to hit a jenner with an ac20, and when you do.... they feel it :) they are far from invincible

Yeah... This is from when knockdowns were working, but still relevant.

Though it's a lot easier to kill one that manages to get itself run the heck over. Which means you have to be a heck of a good pilot to actually be able to hit and run with SPLs. I know I'm going to have to relearn how to pilot a Cicada.

gets humiliated in his own game by Goons, takes his ball and goes home (removes the mechanic from the game)
I like how someone fires at him and they say "no!"

or is it really Goons = gods?
Given that they pushed the "gods" into doing what they wanted by exploiting the obviously broken mechanic O.o
