Called it. a "light" Medium. Next up will be 70-75 tonns, or 90-95 tonns

:) Dont know if I'm intrigued or annoyed that I'll see swarms of these...like a plague of Locusts

pun intended.

the cicada is a medium mech if you dont see it coming you need your eyes checked it wont be swarming anyone. now if they bring the locust or some other light mech like it i will be happy the ravens all well and good but its slow the cicada has good speed and a good setup for a light but the problem is its a medium pretending to be a light mech so its too big.

I'm pretty well shocked...

But I am kinda excited for it. That said...I'm still hoping for a solid Medium Mech with Jump Jets.....I never thought getting a Medium with JJ would be difficult but so far nothing! :)

Still hoping for a:
-BattleMaster
-Thunderbolt
-Highlander

It looks fantastic though!

**EDIT** 100th post!!

Chick-ah-dah.

I thought it would have been pronounced like the insect that I thought it was named after, Which sounds kind of like Sec-kay-duh, or more correctly si'keidə

Thats somewhat interesting, the cicada sarna page was open on my browser more then once, so they might have watched me and put this mech in their list eh?
hehe nice mech, very interesting variants so I would pilot it right away, but the 2 med on the stock version isnt much of a punch.

I like to pronounce it "long ranged backstab" when I'm piloting the PPC or AC versions.

I had 10 guesses as to what Battlemech 10 would be. And none of them were the Cicada!

Although, I have to ask: aside from upkeep cost, how could the Jenner possibly compare to the Cicada in the scouting role?

Psh... tone down the engine, keep it standard tech, drop the lasers, and strap on a PPC and 2 machineguns...

That's a Cicada 3C. The standard engine means it won't completely die from losing a side-tosro, unlike Mechs with those Extra Glass engines that shatter if you look at them too hard...

I used to drop the engine down a knotch double the med lasers and double the armour which is about all the chassis can take. you wind up with something thats got most of a jenners firepower and twice the armour for durability at the same speed.
Akaryu has a point though, what about physical size. On table top it didn't matter but here it might. I mean is it gonna be a bigger target to aim at than the jenner?

I don't generally like lights, but I'd buy that for a dollar. (/obscure reference off)
