Me either. The Cicada isn't a 'mech I've ever been particularly fond of, but including such a fast medium certainly shows that PGI is committed to the scout role!
The CDA-3C would also be a badass fast sniper with that PPC - should be a fun design.
And I love the redesigned art!
Though, while I'm pleased we nmow have 4 good scout designs, I hope we see a few more support 'mechs making an appearance, like a Dervish, or Trebuchet, or Archer, Rifleman, or Lancelot... Right now there are only two support chassis, even if you count the Awesome as one (which is pretty debatable).

Carries just 4 tons in the 3025 versions (same as a Jenner or Commando.) Some of the 3050 upgrades mount more, though.

Charging is going to be in this game. I imagine a Cicada impact the rear armor of you Hunchie isn't going to be a pleasant surprise... though it may not do the Cicada's thin armor much good, either.

We used to get lots back in upstate NY over the summers (and sometime droves of 7-year locusts to go along with them!) The sound of their little maracas chattering through the sweltering August afternoons is something I've missed since moving out west - that and fireflies.

triple barreled weapon is the uac-5
Wow, multi-barreled uACs? Looks good. Can't wait to see how the LBX-AC and Gauss look!

Ok, not a bad mech, but certainly never popular. There are others that could have been chosen that were much more popular.

Why not an ASSASSIN? Better design/artwork, better weapons!
Cicada looks like Jenner and raven: long legs, Torso without "arms", and so on.

There are, yes. However, how many of those are 40-ton blazingly-fast scout 'Mechs? We already have slow heavy hitters in the Centurion and Hunchback.

A Clint, maybe? Not as fast, but a big AC/10.
Or go up 5 tons and take the always popular Phoenix Hawk.

its a bug, it makes that funny chirping noise, its a cricket.
maybe the crude and vulger approach to naming it, but we don't see much need for detailed labeling of most bugs.
of course some bugs need a little detail.
that bug over there is an ant and is anoying but not dangerous except in large groups.
that bug over there is a racoon and is funny as hell to watch.
that bug over there is a black bear and will probably stay away from us, but lets break camp anyway and start loading the truck.
that bug over there is a grizzly bear, get in the truck and we'll come back in a while and see what parts of our camp he decided to leave behind.
that bug over there is a see-kay duh, a small mech that will run over our butts in the truck so lets just put out the fire, sit tight and hope it doesnt see us.
Uhh.... what about that? *points to a Kodiak battlemeh* (seriously the above comment is so true, and I was ROFLing when I read that)
ah, yes. that BIG bug.
well since they are flying the same colors/colours, i would guess that the Duh is the Kodiaks little buddy.
the Duh runs around all over the place, and when it finds something interesting the Kodiak will come over for a little look-see.
the light show begins, and we stay out of the line of fire. hopefully.
no matter who wins, after they are done and dragged off the big parts for salvage is where we come in.
we check to see if they left any small parts laying around that we can drag off and sell to keep us living at our current level of luxury.

We already have Hunchback and Canturion. Both have ACs.
And Phoenix Hawk is unseen, we can't have it in the game.
Calling BS there. There is nothing stopping them from using Unseen. Harmony Gold does NOT hold the proper copyrights, and therefore had no legal standing to sue FASA. FASA didn't have the money to fight, so they folded.

Just curious why a MED with only a few weapon layouts.. Its a VERY poor mech.. ( Nothing against FDs design.. it LOOKS fantastic)
But a Jenner can over power this "Medium" mech.. and catch it.. the BV of a light class Jenner is HIGHER than this Med Cicada..
Oh well.. Hey.. Wheres my Highlander !!! Nothing says DFA like a 90 ton mech
