THAT story gave me goose-bumps... holy crap... hehe. Almost makes ME want to drive a Light 'Mech, and I'm not a fan of them!!! Very nicely done, and FD, you are DA MAN!!!! That Cicada is beautiful.

While i like the speed and possible variants of this mech, I hate the armor on this mech. It only carries 64 points of armor. That's like 4 tons. For a 20-30 toner that may be okay, not for a forty toner. I would downgrade the engine a little and add more armor.

Funny thing is, they DO a (slightly) slower version- only instead of adding armor, it mounts a PPC instead. We don't see an uparmored Cicada until 3056, when the -3M chassis gets turned into the gawdlike -3G model- which runs as fast as the 3M, adds full jump capacity, and three tons of (better) armor to boot.

I've always pronounced the Mech as "See-kay-dah".

Strap on some High Explosives and it can be "Al-kay-dah". BA BA BOOM!

Depends. Where I live, it's pronounced si-CAY-da.

its a bug, it makes that funny chirping noise, its a cricket.
maybe the crude and vulger approach to naming it, but we don't see much need for detailed labeling of most bugs.
of course some bugs need a little detail.
that bug over there is an ant and is anoying but not dangerous except in large groups.
that bug over there is a racoon and is funny as hell to watch.
that bug over there is a black bear and will probably stay away from us, but lets break camp anyway and start loading the truck.
that bug over there is a grizzly bear, get in the truck and we'll come back in a while and see what parts of our camp he decided to leave behind.

that bug over there is a see-kay duh, a small mech that will run over our butts in the truck so lets just put out the fire, sit tight and hope it doesnt see us.

Yeah, totally did not see this one coming. I don't think you're going to see a lot of people disliking this new redesign! Oh and I laugh at all of you trying to correct Garth on the pronunciation. :(

Well whats this? A non-standard (doesn't show up in every game like the Atlas/Madcat), heavy scout medium with a solid primary config and some VERY interesting 3025 and 3050+ variants (like a PPC/ERPPC at 117-129kph)?

Excellent mech selection. Well played MWO dev team.

Now, how about that Banshee BNC-3S?

What is the stock weapons layout? It looks like it has a RAC AC but I'm sure that isn't accurate.

A very paltry two medium lasers and one small laser for the CDA-2A model.

Wikipedia tells me si'kaede (sounds like SI-kay-dah) or si'ka:de (Si-kah-dah)

I've always said Si-kay-dah, myself.

Nice to see a dedicated medium scout mech. :(

For me, best facelift so far. It looks sensible and not made of twigs,

Also, MOAR DAKKA.

Never was a big fan of the overgrown locust, I totally could have been happy if they left this mech out, but at least the art work its nice.

Looks like a Flea, but, I like it, this looks awesome, once again, great job FD, great job indeed. Though, I will say, I'm a bit still nostalgic about that flea, but carry on.
