Nice.

Not a mech I was expecting to see but it gives some much needed speed to the game and makes the medium scout class viable.

That's a nice looking mech. Not my mech of choice of course, but I'd probably take it over a jenner.

Out west, we say either kai-Kay-dah or si-Kay-dah.

This mech is a running joke in my battletech group. Free salvage when one shows up in the campaign.

I might give this a look if it is the -3M. Good scout shredder, me thinks.

Nice looking mech there.

But am i mistaken, or is the entireity of its offensive ability in the Left toso?

Certainly looks that way from the image, and that means a few well placed shots can neuter it. thats of course if they can aim on a target going at 129kph.

Seems to be an awesome Mech for rocking down some slower Mechs, with teammate enemy has no possibility against them. Great Mech for flanking and for getting cover fast, and with jetpacks you can suprise the enemy by taking cover and jumping out taking clear shot to enemy.

Seems to be one of those Mechs I prefer, but I'm still more likely somthing littlebit heavier, still awesome :(

Nice to see some more FRR representation. Looks like a 3rd Hussars mech to boot.

Good turn of speed, which is nice, but the armament is fairly light. If ever a design called out for an XL engine, I think this would be it.

The mech itself looks amazing.

If it is a -3M: Red eye on CT is small pulse, eyes on R L torso are Med Lasers, and 3-barrels on LT is UAC/5

This is fantastic! Way for the designers to save another downright ugly design from future laughter.

I really wasn't expecting this one, I love how MWO is including mechs that are a bit more obscure to the casual mechwarrior player.

TT players know and love these mechs from the early days, it's nice for them to see the classics slowly appearing.

Confession time: Did not see this coming. How do you pronounce Cicada anyway?

Chick-ah-dah.

It's a soft C in the front, like an S -- "Sick Ay Dah" or "Sick Ah Dah"

/edit -- oops, very late to the party :( The "comments" directly on the news stories always screw me up.

Loving the new design on this over the older. Also along with everyone else, did not see this coming for the life of me. But now that seeing is beliveing, this just may be my little speedy ride for those days that you just want to fly :( At any rate, I love some of the varients of this Mech, although not sure how to accomplish some of them at this point in the time line as they need the newer lighter Mech chassis to accomplish them...

The Cicada was always one of those 'Mechs you underestimate at your own peril. Played well, it's an incredible headache to machines that should utterly dominate it on paper. I particularly like the 3050s versions with their long-range sting to match the high speed. Great harrasser 'Mechs.

129kph. Hmmmmm....

The Jenner looks like it flying at 118kph in the recent videos. I can't imagine what a slashing target this bug will be at 129kph!

That said... at only 40 tons of armor, one solid hit from a PPC, A/C or a bank of lasers, this bad boy won't be long for this world. :(
