i like the idea

Do have a question, if you suicide, isnt it already in the game that you dont get anything for it?

I have had my game crash a time or 2 and all I got was a repair bill (mech shows in game, looks like AFK), but no C-Bills (shouldnt get any!) and obviously no XP (again SHOULD NOT receive any).

No work no reward.

Current system, you get what you have up to the point of death. So if you disconnect before you die, you don't get the ending bonuses or anything.

Suiciders exploit this by dying as quickly as possible so that they can keep the game-end bonus.

Ah. Thanx for the clarification.

By suiciders I thought you (OP and others here that have posted) meant that right after launch you see "player name has killed same player name" meaning that guy either overheated himself to death, ran out of bounds or some silly thing.

Posters meant guys that just n00b rush the enemy and get killed. Got it..

Eh. If you overheat yourself to death, I believe you still get the end-C Bill bonus. Some people (shall not name them) are kind of famous for doing this every single match.

N00b rush has the same effect, but are less easy to detect, because some people actually do n00b rush not because they're suiciding, but because they genuinely have no idea that 1v8 is suicide. Ahem.

Walking out of bounds = zero XP and C-Bills.

Personally, I would never want to buy an account regardless of its status, but I also don't think the people that would buy one see that as a con. You are going to get a better K:D/W:L naturally from playing against suiciders, and you will be able to get yourself out of the low bracket -- some people really want that experience I think :\

I also remember hearing something in WoT or LoL about people trashing their bracket intentionally so they can grief people. The exact reason I can't recall ATM, perhaps I blocked it out to preserve some faith in people.

Good points. Hopefully the sheer number of lost games would keep purchased accounts in the bottom grouping for a long long time. Only fair.

Either way, people who suicide-farm or intentionally grief would be in their own games far away from the rest of us. That's all that matters to me.

Then you prevent all legitimate players from playing as well. What they actually need to do is remove the rewards from players that do nothing to help in a match.

How does it prevent legitimate players from playing? Okay, so you legitimately disconnect...are you telling me that it's some huge inconvenience to have to wait until the previous match is done to re-drop? I'm sorry, but I just don't see it. Basically if you just put in some provision that prevents people with zero damage to earn, you'll get people just run at the enemy with a Jenner so they score a couple of points of damage and then get taken out. It simply makes them spend 30 extra seconds in the game tops.
