Well I was wrong, I thought it'd be a Dervish for the next medium. With that in mind...

I am going to go with Black Knight, Flashman, or Orion for the next Heavy and Cyclops or Banshee for the next Assault.

While I'd love a Zeus, they are 80 tons, same as the Awesome so not expecting that at all.

Cicada is... interesting though, I wasn't expecting it.

EDIT: Would absolutely /LOVE/ the Battlemaster, except, I have this nasty suspicion all the reseens are gonna be 'Cash Shop' chassis, since, it would absolutely get them a lot of cash.

I would like to see a few reseen designs. With the Marauder, Warhammer, Crusader, & Archer. If they stayed away form the unseen designs then Jagermech, Cataphract, Axman, Grasshopper.

As for my choices for Assault would be A ressen Battlemaster, Victor, Zeus, Highlander.

But I still think we need a few more lights and mediums.

I hope they fool us all and we have a lot more mechs at launch. As for next mechs I want Orion and King crab or Devastator but sice we have the 100 tonner in the atlas I bet I don't get either,

Next heavy: Orion. Both the current heavies are more mobile designs on the light end of the weight range, which IMHO means we need something slower/tougher. They've also shied away from "new" 3050 designs, and designs that rely heavily on 3050 tech. All the actual loadouts we've seen so far have been the 3025 models, a trend I'd expect to continue. Given those two assumptions, and ignoring any wishful thinking about the Unseen 'mechs, the Orion seems the only real choice. And it's a good one, at that - standard heavy speed, and a wide mix of weapons to provide hardpoints for.

Next assault: Victor. The Awesome and the Atlas are both slow. The Victor would make a good mobile brawler, and provide an assault platform with jump jets (remember they've said you can only put jets on a design that has them to begin with).

Remember that with the 'Mech Lab, the chassis selection will likely be as much about covering possibilities as anything else. I wouldn't expect to see a King Crab, because it doesn't provide much capability that an Atlas doesn't already. Same with the Zeus, honestly - it's very close to the Orion in weapons mix, with a 5-ton difference. It may make it in, but I expect that given their similarity it'll lose out in favor of the Orion in the heavy slot.

In the heavy range, what about the venerable Marauder? For it's time period was a good mech and piloted by the famous Grayson Death Carlyle.

That's my vote anyways... if we have to get a 75 tonner I'd like it to be that, or the Orion, both are good and while the Orion is humanoid (not a big fan of that mech design), it doesn't have hands. Reason this bothers me online is until they let me straighten the hand, run up on a lighter or same weight mech and knock it over and then ram the hand/fist through the cockpit there's not much point in having hands in the game. At least that's my humble opinion and just seeing hands makes me want/miss that little aspect to mech combat.

As for mediums... having said the above, I'd like to see a Shadow Hawk or Wolverine. When did the Osprey come out again?

Im definitely seeing an Orion, and the fact every other comment prefers the Orion helps my decision.
Then probably a mauler. if not a a mauler then a Zeus

You forgot the Warhammer, my personal all time favorite mech, and one that we saw in the first trailer that was scraped due to IP issues. I think it's a near certainty we will see this mech. I love "trooper" mechs so naturally my vote for assault goes to the Battlemaster.

If we get the Orion, then the ON2-M is going to absolutely be the ultimate mech in the game.

Having fully moveable hand actuators would be excellent. I would dearly love to be able to flip someone the finger when they completely miss an alpha strike on me. that would just crack me up, sorry!

Please, please, pretty please forgive those unseen mech's!

There be no Warhammer, no Marauder, no Wasp, no Stinger, no Crusader, no Archer, no Rifleman, etc...

I love those too, but until an north american firm develop the game, there be no unseen mech's in the game.

The can redesign them, There are a few artworks out there of redesigns that could be used as inspiration. Besides any long time Battletech player would veiw the Starleague Mechs as classic and Iconic.

All of the unseens have been redesigned already. I actually really like some of the new designs. I still expect the unseen/reseens to end up in the cash shop after release as a guaranteed way to make money.

I know I'd pay cash for a Locust, Wolverine, Marauder, and Battlemaster.
