It would be useful to buy ammo in portions less than 1 ton. For example lets say I finish upgrading my mech and I have 0.5 tons of unused weight and I have a weapon that takes 30 rounds/ton, I use the .5 tons for 15 rounds of additional ammo and taking up one slot of space. This should scale from .1-.9 tons allowing for even more customization.

Yes please. Allow .5 ton ammo bins. They can remain at 1 slot and can even be prevented from being combined into 1 ton bins - that'd be fine. But piloting a 64.5 ton Catapult (or whatever) is kinda lame.

I am all for 0.5 ton ammo. Only it should be rounded down if the number is an odd number. For example 15 rounds of Autocannon 10 ammunition would only be 7 rounds.

Signed. It might be a bit difficult to write in, but it'd be very nice.

I have a Centurion as is that could use 50 more Streaks...

The only weapon in tabletop that allowed a non-full-ton ammo purchase was machine guns, and that only allowed half-ton purchases. Ammo purchases should stay the way they are now.

And no, there shouldn't be any kind of ammo buyable in 0.1 ton lots. No freaking way.

You got a half-ton left? Take off a half-ton of armor to make a full ton of free weight.

Oh good a TT/canon elitist...

While I agree with not having options besides 0.5 and 1.0 ton ammo bins, I don't see how having them hurts anything. In fact I see how it makes the game easier and less annoying.

Sub-half-ton (.1 increments) is maybe a little much, but half-ton should be pretty easy to work in. especially with the number of things that are .5/1.5 tons.

Especially if they still take an entire crit, and maybe even cost as much in C-bills as a full ton (non-standard sized case, and all).

Just have to be careful when you're grabbing ammo from the list during construction...

Having that many options for ammunition would easily confuse people. They would wonder why 0.1 tons of X ammo takes up a whole critical slot, and then they would complain about it. They would do the same for 0.5 ton lots.

"Keep It Simple, Stupid" is a good way for the devs to work the game. This idea would violate that.

We've already stated that we're only suggesting 0.5 and 1.0 sized bins.

We were not even talking about 0.1 tons of ammo. We were talking about 1/2 tons and full tons of ammunition. That is all I would want. Full tons and half tons of ammunition.

You may not have been, but the OP was.

And I still only support ammo in full-ton lots.

Or add in a half-ton larger engine...

Costlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! D: (I've been in situations where I wish I had a 260-size engine because my 250/255 was just under weight cap)

I'll have to go with the "add or subtract 1/2 ton of armor"

I'm guessing the original suggestion would add needless complexity to the program for very marginal benefit. Not bad, I just don't think the gain would be worth the code writing/new bug expense.
