When I am the sole surviving mech on my team and there are still 7 on the other, I want an eject button. Simple as that.

Why? So that the other team can't get the kill and salvage you? OR is it so you can end the match before they get the capture bonus? Remember, you're free to log when you like; so no one is keeping you in match.

Easy, if he ejects it counts as a capture and you can only eject if their team has 3x or more the number of players as yours.

It could cut the alt-f4 shenanigans if a player could eject to avoid being killed and adding to their death count. Giving the kill to the last enemy to shoot that mech would work and appease those K/D whores. You could also make it so you can only eject if dealt critical damage. If I'm in a mech with no weapons left and a critical torso, maybe I want to eject to save myself the repair cost on my xl engine. The enemy team gets salvage for my not destroyed components and I get a lesser repair bill. win/win situation.

Then how about a surrender area be made available? If you can get to it and power down you're out of the match and untouchable. My complaint about ejection is that it can be anywhere and you're abandoning your mech, you shouldn't get reduced repair bills, you should lose your mech.

Just fight it out, or if you are away from the main battle hide and power down. No sense keeping the opponents from getting their full (and deserved) reward.

An eject button would work fine if done right. I like Deadoon's idea. I know nothing is stopping me from exiting the match.
