... to hit the enemy.
I try to keep situational awareness, I take note of where my team mates are and what they're shooting at and avoid walking into their cone of fire but there are some circumstances (eg intense furballs) where walking into a friendly's arc of fire is plain unavoidable. I'll accept the glancing shot cos it was my fault.
Yet I still see that friendly happily firing away and not even attempting to pull his shots up/down. I observe that time and time again. A great majority don't bother pulling their shots.
The last straw for me was a game last night where we were winning and it was about 4 of us all firing on the last guy. I was standing stationary, as well as a couple of other friendlies, firing. Some bonehead who was walking, attempting to circle strafe walked behind us and kept firing as if we weren't there. Needless to say he hit me and a couple of others in the back.
*****.
Even with the reminder of the griefing rules/code of conduct if I see an act of plain stupidity of that magnitude again I'm going to retaliate. Intentional or reckless acts - the consequences are the same in the eyes of the law (Australian jurisdiction) so I'm going to treat it as incoming fire from a hostile.
