Because honestly, sometimes its just alot more fun and relaxing to shoot everything in sight and have all the glory for yourself in winning a death match battle, not to mention all that lovely EXP and Cbills.

And it would put an end to the unbalanced team pug vs premade team based QQing as its STILL our ONLY option at this point to play with people in MWO, at least one more game would give us a freaking break from the same old team vs team repetitiveness

And admit it, its fun to not have to take orders/directions from teammates at times and just do whatever the hell you want

Indeed. I'm pretty sure once they get everything else we should see a Solaris at some point but a basic FFA mode right now would be interesting.

Any other game mode would be interesting right now though.

I personally think FFA sucks in most games, and I think it wold be really bad in this game. However, if people want to I don't see why not, though I doubt many would be interested. I do agree we need something desperately to break the monotony of this game. Give us more maps and another game mode.

Dude, did you ever play mw4 and go to Solaris? That is probably the most interesting part of the game. FFA tournaments of the same weight class of mechs, with the championships being any weight class you like.

I'm not a fan of FFA. I probably would never queue up for it. :D

Actually an FFA arena would fit the universe and game quite well. Wouldn't be hard for them to put in either; just make every player on their own team in an arena type map and leave them to fight it out until only 1 is left.

FFA wouldnt work all to well considering a lot of mechs depend on their team to be effective.

i guess an atlas deathmatch arena would be fun for a little while. But not something that should be prioritized in anyw ay over more important things.

I like team play, but sometimes I just want to prove that I'm the biggest bad-arse in the room. Seconded.

For those of us "old" enough to remember the glory days of MW2 and MW3, doing epic huge robotic free for all battles was the best part of the games, with everyone trying to push their mechs layout/design to the maximum and crane their brains thinking of ways to survive matchs.

FFa in mechwarrior is all about risk/ reward. Do you wait for others to duke it out and possibly destroy eachother, or do you brawl with them for the kill bonuses and have a chance to weaken your opponents by sidelining yourself so everyone ends up weaker, at the risk of being side swiped by someone just finishing their brawl on the other side of the map? Or do you set up temp alliances with other people to duel them as the last survivors?

Different mechs for different purposes, solaris rarely has lrms except for clan, arrow missiles can be found though. Mrm are king and srm are nice in the lighter leagues, ppc are useful as pinpoint damage weapons.

Heck one of my favorite lights was the panther with only a linked capacitor ppc.

Being able to kill people you have a grudge against is oh so satisfying as well

FFA is lame in my opinion. But if others want that sort of silliness, I have no objection to that sort of play mode being an option. Should be held in a Solaris type environment though, and have no impact on the eventual community warfare.

I'm all up for 1v1 FFA. Let's call it Solaris 7 or something.

Would need new maps for FFA, ones we are using would be way too small. I am not against it, just saying currently not really viable.

You shouldn't be able to drop with teams though. Otherwise it would turn into 4v1v1v1v1.

Just use MM to create single weight class FFA drops. Could be interesting, but then there's this:

So I guess something arena-like is on the way. FFA would kinda be a cluster-pancake though, could be hilarious.

Arena is definitely more in my future than FFA. Game could really use some 1v1, 2v2 & 3v3 arena action.

Also, more squawking.
