I use gauss on my Atlas and on my Catapult :<

I think it will still work fine on your Catapult.....But may be time for a change up on the Atlas.......

Just don't get internal damage where your gauss is and you will be fine.

don't use Gauss rifle on a brawling mech, then

If you're using it at it's intended range it will be much harder for the enemy to crit it.

The weapon is intended to explode. If you don't like it, try a different weapon.

Just CASE your Atlas torso. If you were running an XL engine you were gonna die when you lost that torso anyways (like the AS7-K, or most gausscats).
