I have the cbills for an XL360 engine for my Catapault. Currently I have two, about to buy my third catapult, and could use the cbills for that instead, but I could swap the engine between them. .

Would using the engine mean the mech was uneconomical to play ? What is the repair bill if my centre torso is destroyed ? ( and this seems to be 90% of my deaths in my cat as its the biggest target )

I am not too worried about the destruction of side torso causing mech destruction effect of XL, this never seems to happen in my cat.

Chassis Cat A1 and K2, used for close range assult and sniping. I play with an very agressive style, and usually die during the match.

Adn for bonus points, what is the best third chassis to buy ?

If all you are running is lasers or streaks, get the biggest you can fit and have fun. I'd probably go for the C1 as the last chassis rather than the C4. There are few builds that the C4 has that can't be improved by being a C1 or A1 instead.

Opps, you are right, largest is 315 engine needing 12 slots and taking 18 tons cost 5.1 million Cbills

Currently I don't have enough slots.....will need to look carefully at it.

the xl engines take up 3 slots in right and left torso, that's where the 12 slots come from.

6 in ct, 3 in rt, 3 in lt.

I run a K2 with an XL315. I love the speed and maneuverability, and I haven't had any issues with profit.

Not currently on premium time either.

I can't speak to the x315 but I can second kolbold's opinion that the c1 is better then the c4. The weapons loadout seems to be more well rounded then the other cats. You can just go for the upgrades and have a mech that works really well. I have Artemis and double heat sinks on mine. Artemis Is kind of hard on the pocket book though.

Just went ahead and installed it.......

It IS expensive, adds 50k to the bill + ammo + structure means I have seen 120k bills ! so a losing match is a loss...........

Plays great though, he scouts ant get away, once I lock on they are toast =-)

300XL is great, I have one for all my Catapults. some people prefer 315 but I find the speed for the 300xl is just fine (74 base, up to 80 with speed tweak).

I own an XL275 and XL300. Dependent on builds I use one or the other in my jenners and catapults.
