I was lead to believe that one of the previous patches made it so that 4-man premades (+4 PUGs) are matched to another similar setup. However, over the past week of playing I gotta say I may have seen that happen *maybe* once. I have benefited from having a premade on my team but I very very rarely seen the *other* team have a premade up there.

Now I'm not bashing premades or PUGs. I'm just saying that it seems I was misinformed about the matchmaker. Is my understanding flawed?

P.S. Probably played about 150 odd games over the week. While this is not strictly statistically significant, it's IS a fair indicator of a trend. I also realize that there's no real surefire way of knowing if a group of 4 players are a premade and I purely base my estimation based on the skill I see exhibited.

It's really hard to say who is a premade and who isn't. You'll likely be surprised to know that even before they changed the teams to have a limit of 4 members, very few PuGs were actually going up against legitimate Premade Groups with more than 4 members as it was! So, don't expect a team on either side right now, because even a 4-man group is still at the mercy of the 4 PuG members on their team.

Accually it shows the reality that there were never as many premade pugstomps as the qq'ers made there out to be. 3 out of 4 of the stomps were made by other puggers as puggies faced premades only a quarter of the times they thought.

This is probably accurate. I see the issue of CTDs, AFKers, botters (suicide and otherwise) to be a much more detrimental issue to the spirit of the game. In a somewhat related note, has anyone else noted that some players seem to head straight to the enemy base despite getting torn to shreds along the way? The kicker is that these mechs simply don't shoot at all during this suicidal charge and the players always logoff immediately after death. The paranoid part of me says that this screams of a script.

As far as I know, there is nothing in the matchmaker to put a 4 (premade) + 4 pick-ups versus another 4 premade + 4 pick-ups.

Everyone (singles and groups of 2, 3, or 4) are all in the same queue.

Next week, 8 mans teams will fight 8 man teams in a team vs team queue, and singles/2/3/4 will still be dropping into the same queue together.

I'm just glad this thread doesn't include any Seinfeld memes.
