Hello!

Myself and a friend are currently looking for a merc corp / group to run with. There are a ton of great options, but we decided to make a post to see who was actively interested in us.

Who we are:

We are two experienced online gamers, both 23 with full-time jobs. We have plenty of experience with MechWarrior and have been playing since MW2. A good chunk of our time was spent playing Eve Online, so we value and respect discipline in coms and tactics. We are also both capable leaders and have been actively leading premade groups on COMSTAR.

In game we both prefer medium and heavy mechs. Specifically providing close support to Assaults or running in "wolf-packs" with other mediums striking at flanks or providing quick response to base threats. We roll on Comstar NA whenever we play. We're not quiet either; we prefer a lively group that has a sense of humor.

Currently, we usually play 1-2 nights a week along with at least one full day on the weekends and hold an average KDR of 4.5.

What we're looking for:
- An active group large enough to field groups on weekday East Coast prime-time and most times during the weekend.
- Relatively casual in nature outside of battle but focused on winning while playing.
- Capable of exercising com discipline during matches.
- Will actively participate in competitive matches.
- The opportunity to command.

If you're interested feel free to leave us a short description of your corp and a link to you're website. We will probably keep this post up for a week or two before making a decision. Thank you for your time!

Sincerely,
RabbidFerret and Palmtree

Clan AKC is getting closer to officially supporting MWO, we are expanding into a "MULTI" gaming organization, and I have just opened a channel in our TeamSpeak 3 server for MechWarrior Online. The TeamSpeak information is on our front page address and port number, etc, etc, etc..
We are a "MATURE" Clan, so please, only 18 and older..
.
If you are looking for a friendly TS server, then please register on our website at http://www.teamakc.net/news.php please read our code of conduct rules before entering our Teamspeak, a member will give you permissions to enter the "MECHWARRIOR" channel, and give you talk permissions.. Also be sure to put a capital "M" before your users name when creating a user name for the AKC TeamSpeak server, that way you will be more quickly recognized, and given permissions to use the TeamSpeak channel.. Sub channels for different squads will be created as needed..
.
I will be putting together squads for MWO, and promoting Team Captains from the MWO squads within the next month, these Captains will not be exclusively current AKC members, but rather players with MWO experience...
.
After you register at http://www.teamakc.net/news.php new TeamSpeak users will have 2 weeks to decide if they wish to join AKC or not, this will also be the time limit for NON Clan members to use the AKC TeamSpeak server channel "MECHWARRIOR"..
.
Clan AKC was formed in 2004, and has rented many, many, FPS title servers, competed in leagues, and has Allies in the FPS world, and we have recently decided to expand into a "MULTI" gaming organization online...
.
After registering at http://www.teamakc.net/news.php if you have any additional questions regarding TeamSpeak use, or Clan code of conduct, or anything else at all, then contact
[AKC]Odin, Clan leader, second in command...

I highly recommend researching some of odins posts before even thinking of joining his unit. It may give you some insight before actually getting into voice with him......

Sounds like you might be a perfect fit for the Blazing Aces. We have a rather unique style of competitive play as well as a unique system of unit management. We have a strict system of comms discipline during combat and a focus on playing to win when we are in competitive drops.

We'll let our Field Manual do the talking for us:

Our Recruiting Thread with our play style, philosophy and unit management

Our website:

Looking forward to hearing back from you. Feel free to contact me via PM or in game if you have questions or would like to drop a few times with us to get a feel for the unit and our pilots.

Alpha Males Mercenary Corporation is a unit made up of a group of players who wish to drop primarily against other premade groups. It is our philosophy we can achieve a competitive team without using a military style ranking system. We wish for our members to enjoy playing without the drama a military ranking system can sometimes cause. We have acheived a player base large enough enableing us to sustain dedicated lances. and are preparing to promote pilots to lance leads. Leads are promoted for a cylce after which we promote others to step in. This allow every play who has the skill and willingness to run a lance. We want to encourage our players to form lances amongst our membership that they feel comfortable playing with. We recognize that we will have to fight against other Merc corporations and so we wish to train our members to be the best of the best of the Merc corporations of the Inner Sphere and therefore wish to recruit the best of the best.

We have several members in our unit who go back to the early days of Mech warrior Mecenaries and Mechwarrior 4 as well as World of tanks. So you may find some old friends who you once played with providing you have played any of the before mentioned games.

Should you chose to join our unit apply at http://www.mwam.guildportal.com/ . Applicants must use their MWO Beta call sign on the application and will be required to download the Teamspeak3 client and the Ventrillo client. After your application is approved you will be given the IP address and Password to both and will be able to view all content on our web site.

Thank you for your concideration

I'll throw Swiftslayers at you for an option.

We're not large, but we focus on quality over quantity. We typically have several guys playing most weeknights and through the weekend. We are also heavy with guys I pulled over from World at War (www.bfewaw.com); a very organized tournament FPS that we played in for eight plus years. Most of the guys with us in Swiftslayers were divisional commanders over there (multiple times) and know how to plan, play, coordinate, and effectively use voice comms from fighting 12-hour battles on a 64 player battle. We also enjoy our casual drops as well; so we're not "ON" all the time either.

We're also very open to new guys leading. We like to encourage talent and have a history of doing so. Largely because us older hands like to take a break from time to time and just shoot!

Get a hold of me if you are interested. We'll even let you do some drops with us just to try us out.

The Arctic Kinight Alliance can fit your bill on everything but the command bit. But the opportunity to earn it exists. Even if you don't sign up with us we don't mind grouping with folks outside our unit. Been doing so for years and always have a good time. Give us a look if your interested.
