I just wonder if this is a new form of cheating other player's out of a kill credit.
Situation, River city defending base.
Atlas is approaching base from lower city, fellow team mate is engaging him in a Jenner. I approach and go around a building and commence firing on him from my atlas. He then ducks out of the line of fire and shuts down. When I can target him again I fire into the back of the Atlas and destroy his mech.
Message on the board reads; "Nooee has killed." No credit is given or xp gained at end of match.
This is not the first time something like this has happened. It seems like they are disconnecting after shutdown to prevent others from receiving credit.
Thoughts anyone?

He didn't just shut down, he disconnected. Which is another way to cheat people out of a kill. Though they will still have to pay for repair. It's just a cheap way to preserve k/d ratio. Hopefully it'll be fixed so it'll still count for both parties.

OR he crashed, which happens to a lot of people, A LOT. I've been on comms with people, and when I CTD in the middle of a match, my teammates have told me my mech does this, or runs in circles. Given how often I personally, and people I play with crash, I am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I am more inclined to think it was a crash, because no disconnect message is given.
Thanks for the response's

good point, if there wasn't a disconnect message, a crash would make sense.

Greetings Op ,
Several factors can alter the end result .
A mechwarrior's path is not a easy one
