back on topic. I have had this problem before, but it didnt have an affect on me getting kills.

Why not?

On topic, I've had the yellow screen once, and it sucked.

Any way, you can shift+f11 to turn off your HUD and at least the yellow goes away... still sucks tho.

I heard that works, I didn't know you had to play without a HUD instead =/

Seems like with all the glitches that the devs would put in a way to "reset" your HUD or the game. That would go a long way to easing some of the frustration the player base has. If there was a way for new players to test their computers so that they find out that MWO's minimum spec isnt really viable. That would cut down on the number of disconnects at the beginning of the match.

Yellow screened -- reset HUD. Black Screen, 4 Frames a second bug -- reset game. Crash to Desktop -- Reenter Game.

This has been getting irritating and seems to happen at random, but the yellow tint of when you initially get the view of ur cockpit at the start of ur match doesn't go away and basically makes you useless. Sure, you can pilot your mech but u can't see anything and of course none of ur displays for ur speed, heat, weapons, etc. are there. A problem like this should have been taken care of long ago in closed beta, as this is a huge problem. Anybody still experiencing this?

Yep. I get it maybe once in 20 matches. It is irritating as hell, as is CTDs, "illegal function calls", and black screens of death.

Not a very fun game right now. If I were me, I would demand "MAKE ME A SOLARIS 1v1 ARENA, AND KILL THE BUGS."

But I'm not me.

what does releasing new mechs have to do with bugs?

PGIs priority should be squashing bugs, not releasing new content.

Fix the basic, THEN add on bit by bit.

PGI seems to have forgotten this tried-and-true blueprint for success.

What good is new content when the basic structure is FUBAR? New content just introduces more problems and detracts from fixing old problems.

Same thing applies in my industry. If I operated by their example, I wouldn't have a job for long.

They need a project manager who can take the reins and make MWO succeed. Seems like they're just running it aground as is.

First of all, just because you think, "should of," doesn't mean, "is."

Actually....it's Right Shift+F11.... ;)

I've had the gold screen 2-3 times, it seems like something isn't loading up right.

(Duh)

What I mean is, when I was in Frozen City and went tunnel with the goldvision bug, the buildings in the tunnel were not textured. They were just a large grey blob in the shape of the building.

So if those two textures or files are linked somehow, that could be a fix?

It isn't illogical at all. They just need more programmers, and fewer modelers and artists.

This isn't a rocket science.

I had the yellow HUD bug a few times but was lucky enough that I was running a light mech with 2 streaks and some MLasers. I just kept circling the base and eventually when 1 of the guys in my pre-made group died he helped me fight nearly blind using teamspeak to help me aim and kill the other light mech that tried to cap.

The strange thing about the yellow screen is that it clears while you have the scoring screen (tab) up but comes back when tab is released.

i'm glad you keep reinforcing the fact that you're just entitled and dont understand how games are made. It makes disregarding your comments easier.

Because you are not licensed to teach. Besides pretty sure these grammar scrubs don't know everything either.

Interestingly, I don't get the yellow screen anymore. I just CTD a lot more - like mostly. I've quit playing. Maybe the upcoming patch will fix that for me, but I'm not putting any faith in it.

Hi all,

I'm here to confirm 'the gold screen' bug. The yellow flickering of HUD that is turning on at the very beginning of the match becomes frozen. Powering down does not help. It can be turned off with 'right shift + F11' though.

I had it 2-3 times, and I think they all were happened after 4 Dec patch, or/and after installing 310.70 drivers (GPU is NVIDIA GTX 660). But I'm not sure about that.

Before 310.70 I had 306.23 installed.

AND I think I have unique info on this bug (I looked through this thread quite fast, so maybe I missed someone noticing that): once match was started normally, without 'gold screen bug'. Soon my mech was destroyed and I entered 'observer' mode. Then cycled through teammates, ONE of them had 'golden screen' bug on my PC while others had not. I switched them several cycles, and each time that player's screen was yellow. Hope this will help devs to find the reason.
