I like this game enough to spend all of my gaming time on it (sry PS2 lol). And with this excellent patch that just dropped (It really has something for everybody, doesn't it?) I expect that my opinion won't change. In fact, I think the only thing that could harsh my 'mech buzz is if CW doesn't get implemented for some reason.

And still there are much more people voting yes. :) I would like to see what those guys say to that now hehehe Those negative guys just have a HARD TIME believing they are the minority hahaha

I like Mechwarrior Online. What I don't like is ECM Online, which I'd rather not play. And I don't.

Vote numbers so far are about the regular number of people I see on the forums during a slow day.

The poll isn't really very telling. People who don't like MWO will probably not come here, only people who like Battletech and don't like MWO will come here to complain, the rest will just move onto something else. The game has issues, but really, it's free. If I get a few hours of enjoyment out of it now and then before the bugs start getting too irritating, it's a decent tradeoff.

I'm tossing my spare coins into my piggy bank so that I can have enough set aside when they have a sale again. I still need to grab Flame. I'll get a breather if they release a light Hero mech next since I'll probably pass on that.

I'm a longtime fan of the title. But I'm indifferent about the game. I don't really see it going in the direction I thought it would. It's a good game though and maybe it will change course. Regardless, hopefully it has a long life.

The "because it's beta excuse," like the race card... has lost all meaning except in the most extreme cases.

I believe that the game was flawed from inception because it attempted to take a huge and storied franchise and cram all of the large battles that we have read about into a small scale WoT clone.

From recent forum polls it appears as if more than half of the MWO community would not be playing this game if it didn't have the Mechwarrior universe as its base. That is saying a lot.

I'll answer the question even though it wasn't directed at me. I wanted MW:LL with a Faction warfare layer on top of it and the polish and regular patching that you get from a paid title. We currently don't have half the game that MW:LL was and I believe that if those guys had been given the license instead of PGI we'd have the best MW game ever made. This game doesn't even compare to the fights that were had over LAN in MW2.

Why would I care enough to post if I didn't play? Why would I play if I didn't like it?

Also: guy above me? If you really think this game is irretrievably flawed, why are you still here? If you don't think it's irretrievably flawed, then why are you posting troll comments about how badly, in your expert view, the devs have mismanaged this entire project from its inception?

To paraphrase the old saying, it's time to take the dump or get off the pot. You can't have your steaming poo-cake and still fling that poo at the devs.

P.S. "Because the game isn't finished and completely balanced yet" is not an "excuse;" it's a valid reason.

Yes, I like this game. In fact, I have spent more money on this game than on any game I have ever played except EVE, and this is better than EVE... I just haven't been playing it as long.
