Redshift and Ohmwrecker sound good to me.

You could also turn this into a poll. :)

I second both nominations, but not just for meme threads. Aside from them both regularly replying to existing threads, I've listed other reasons below.

Elizander: See Mechwarrior Online Budget Saving Tips / Guide (As Of Nov 14), a number of guides in the Battlemechs forums, and a number of constructive suggestions that have fostered solid dialog. Let's not forget that he started the first MWO Meme thread.

Prosperity Park: See Useful Info and Quick Tips for New Players, A useful introduction to MechWarrior: Online!, his like level over 9000, and he started the MWO Beta Meme thread.

Subsequent failures to include them in a poll will result in this meme

EDIT: Wow...

Added Prosperity Park.

You can select "Delete My Vote" to get your votes back.

Not sure if coincidence that this was posted at the time I made my nominations, or if my nods got them into the poll.

Really... we need awards like this? Punt all the above nominated. I'd like to instead nominate every unit leader who has dragged their teams from functional games to this steaming pile of beta to perform the curteosy of testing something about which their personal feedback accounts for mostly nothing with notable exceptions for volume. These tireless social glue emitters are the true load bearers in this ramshackle shack. So naturally, people are flocking to elect the 2nd runner up to the mod beauty pageant to what is equivalent to "Miss Congeniality"? Frick the glitter, we need more glue. I give this idea +.00001 internets for its attempt to keep idle hands from throttling devs.

I don't support this. Not that my voice matters.

I do not support this mainly on the grounds that those who support the community are vast and abroad in the scope of what they've done.

We do not need to put people on a pedestal.

More then likely they have contributed for the sole reason of doing so.

On a side note, I also think award shows and 'man of the year' events are unneeded.

Good should be rewarded, with good behavior from everyone.

Think of it more as reconition that grateful members want to express. If someone really does create a genuinly uselful guide, or is helpful, or entertaining, just to be popular, well so what.

Though, more likely, is that they were creating something that was needed, that they themselves would want to see.
