I agree with the OP, however I'd like to add that after awhile I start to feel like now that I've found the perfect spot for me, every other build I make with that particular chassis is inferior, I can't bear to change my perfect loadout!

Also, just hit that perfect favourite spot on a CTF (A hunchback 4G on steroids!)

These, with my custom Cicada and Hunch-4g round out my personal perfect top 4!

I get really attached to a 'mech once it hits that sweet spot! It is a great feeling!

I'm dual AC/20 Cat all the way. Some people think it's overpowered, but they've obviously never dealt with all of the downsides. Very limited ammo, slower engine, not enough armor, no room for AMS, and having to close within 300 meters to be effective. Even with all those drawbacks, I love shooting people in the face with it. I forced myself to run two other varients to unlock the Elite efficiencies, but I just couldn't wait to get back to my AC/20s. The only other mech I had as much fun in was an Awesome with four Medium Pulse Lasers and three Streaks and the largest engine I could jam in thing. I might even go back to it eventually, even though Streaks aren't as effective as they were back when I ran that build, but for now, I'll be sniping anyone silly enough to stand toe to toe with me.

I found my favorite build about 3 months ago.

Dual Large Laser 4G with UAC5. Sept now I don't have to use an XL engine to save the tonnage.
