Personally, I don't think I should be able to tell the exact loadout of an opposing 'Mech until it:

A ) Fires all its weapons at least once at an enemy.
B ) Get scouted by a 'Mech with BAP or equivalent skill.

I also shouldn't be able to see the exact damage on 'Mech until I've actually visually seen all of the 'Mech. I shouldn't know the enemy's back armor status if it's facing me.

Discuss.

Afaik, there will be a module that hides your loadout and mech status.

I would play that game-mode. Definitely. Also remove the HUD and force people to free-look in the cockpit at the readouts.

Part of the problem with light mechs in this game is too much information is given for free. Equivalent to an integral C3i that can't be shut off (oddly, enemy units are far easier to get information on about loadout than friendlies). Scouting and ambush have been greatly eliminated. The map sizes don't really allow mobility to play the huge factor it should.

This has reduced light mechs to being somewhat vulnerable light strikers (netcode issues aside), and mere spotters.

Indeed, people complain the BAP is underpowered. It is only underpowered because you are already given much of the extra information the BAP was meant to collect.

Nope, it's fine as it is.

I think it's reasonable to think that in a world where they have lasers, energy cannons and spaceships they have a computer that can bring up some of this information.

Scouts are already useful anyway. Spotters.

I have no problem with gross sensor signature giving make and model but other information should be shielded, technology goes both ways.

Only with line of sight should show approximate damage and a module or upgrade should be required for additional info.
Let's make those things worth buying.

I agree with this only because it would enable me actually find out what the enemy had deployed in a PUG match since it is a proven fact that all PUG keyboards have had the R key removed.

Yes, ECM removed it.
