Why not just charge a small yearly fee like Microsoft Live does? I think you should just sell the software and charge a small yearly fee to use the server. People who can’t play well end up spending a small fortune because they keep burning up their C-Bills on repairing their mech and trying new equipment. Maybe give user a choice on how to give their hard owned money to you. Back in the old days you purchase the software and play for free on their server. Can’t you make enough money by just selling the game at a fair price?

The future is different my friend. As much as some of us might not be thrilled with the free to play online fad, it's not going anywhere. That being said, if you want to pay for a premium account no one is stopping you.

Welcome to the forums by the way. :D

what he's saying is he doesn't like the MC system i.e the f2p system.

And frankly I agree with him, i'd rather pay $60 for the game outright. The way a f2p game is designed to work is most people play for free and the ones that land up paying will land up paying for everyone else (which I am NOT cool with)

not to mention little kids start coming in and suicide farming or greifers start greifing or the entirer game mechanics are tuned around f2p

Yep. I prefer a premium service that we all pay for. It's better quality.
