PGI Hasn't realized the elasticity of Demand when it comes to pricing "fluff". AT 60 cents there would almost certainly be more than 10x as many buyers than at $6.

PGI, look at the pricing model for fluff in "Global Agenda" for a great pricing level with permanent ownership of colors, mods and other fluff.

Basically in GA people hoard colors and spends lots more money because "what's an extra 50 cents? I can look like a lion!"

I can get real lights and string them around my monitor for about 2 bucks. It's a bit much.

I find it simply irritating how they actually manage to continously ignore all economic findings of recent years regarding F2P games. The pricing so far, be it for vanity items or private fluff stuff, shows an immense level of either greed, complacency or incompetence and neither choice seems nice.

It seems they are completely focussed on getting 10$ from one guy, instead of getting 1$ from 20 guys. Doesn't make any sense.

I was going to buy some booble heads but not for those prices.

Infact, I don't think I will be spending any money on this game until the micro transactions actually become micro and not macro!

Woo, another greedy PGI patch. They really should get themselves an economist to help them figure out the whole supply and demand thing.

Is pretty simple.

Low price, high sales, happy customers buying everything that looks shiny.
vs.
High price, low sales, pissed off customers getting screwed for some craptastic useless in-game bling.

I, personally, am not spending MC on anything until prices go down, except maybe premium time... but I'm only buying premium time if the prices on Mechs go down & the cost of Mechs justifies their purchase.

Like it was said before, I agree that getting $1 from 20 people is better than getting $10 from one person while making 19 people feel angry.

While I empathize with the pricing concerns...

"It's cosmetic"... They are in no way forcing you to purchase these bits but if you are so inclined to fancy up your kit... ya gotta open you wallet.

I think ya'll are over optimistic as to how many folks would want to put this stuff in their pit regardless of the price-point... :D

I am on comms right now with 7 guys who want to buy at least one ofthe themed items and some of us want several. None of us are willing to drop that much MC on any of the items, but would if they were 50 MC instead of 500MC for example. I would get most of them for myself, but not at these prices.

Right, I just went and had a look and quickly realised that the expensive things cost the same as a light or cicada. Mechs that were overpriced to begin with.

Prices aren't just steep but frankly ridiculous. I will not be buying anything at those prices

Fair point... accepted. :D

I've got some opaque plastic window stick-on Christmas decorations... I'll sell the lot to you and your friends for a third of PGIs asking price!
