I for one will not buy anything for MC with these prices thats for sure!
PGI all you are doing now is making your clients very angry and making yourself look very greedy!
Make trinkets and colours cheap so all can and will buy it instead!
Thats what the spirit of Christmas is all about !!!!!

PGI should seriously think about this because we are the people who play this game.

wargaming once stated a simple thing: if they change things ingame they will never disatvantage the player. this way you dont have to feel like a christmas goose.
PGI can still do something about it. if they change prices they could refund the difference to the players who allready bought something.

You know you can move these items from 'Mech to 'Mech don't you?
Yes, you can, but it's irritating to repeatedly do for simple cosmetics. I can understand it perfectly for C-Bill funded items that must be inventory contained such as engines, but when you're just wanting to switch a mech quickly, a two second operation becomes thirty.

2.) PGI / IGP will review the sale metrics of this first official round of useless in-game fluff and make pricing adjustments going forward.
3.) The next round of fluff-content offered for sale will likely have a better value-to-cost ratio... That said, they still may be higher than similar offerings in other F2P play games.
Why?
Let's be clear PGI is not intentionally trying to pick our wallets... They are however using these non-relevant fluff items to determine what the MW:O user base will support / accept in regards to micro-transactions.
I know everyone likes to compare MW:O to other F2P models but the harsh reality is we do not have the player-base the majority of these other F2P models have and the pricing structure will ultimately be slightly higher to offset the difference in potential sales... Long and short, the "micro" micro-transactions will not work in MW:O or more accurately, it will not provide a reasonable net profit ratio and thusly pricing has to be higher...

mech pricing is fine as far as I am concerned. World of Tanks has been doing micro transcation for in game vehicles since it began. Same concept, spend real money : Make more in game money. The more powerful the vehicle the more expensive. People readily buy 51 dollar tanks in WoT all the time because they are stinking good and make you in-game currency hand over fist to fund the other tanks that cost more. Fact is they have a MARKED impact on the game. I have friends who say the new hero mech is a VERY solid and good variant and like it alot. So keep you pricing on mechs.
Your fluffy cockpit stuff that only my teammates can see when they are dead or I make a video of my game play. You really have fallen out of the mark on how this should be priced. Even the cosmetic things in WoT that cost RL money have a game impact and EVERYONE can see them. They are also CHEAPER! Now if you are tryign to drum up money to continue to fund the development of the game, find something worth a crap to do it with not holiday trinkets that have no impact on the game at all.
*edit* In fact if you really need to drum up more money to keep the game funded and developing the way it should. Allow Founders to upgrade their founder's packages.

I emailed Support about this very thing a few weeks ago and they said they aren't going to do that.
Also, has there been an official response concerning this thread? After 12 pages, I imagine we've attracted some attention.

you'd have received 2 more purchases from me if my lights weren't so damned expensive.
(that being said, the lights look awesome, and it's good that they can be switched between Mechs'... but i'm just trying to find a silver lining after having 7 dollars of my closed beta donation money siphoned away)
won't get fooled again, the lights will be my last decor purchase if the prices remain the same. eventually i'd like to buy a hero Mech' and put stuff in the cockpit without completely depleting my MC in one go.
thanks, i hope the feedback helps.

I am a Christian and am very offended when people "X" Christ out of Christmas. "But it's just an acronym" but no one ever writes it CHRISTX, always XMAS crossing out the most important name in the holiday word.
For those of you who need an education, Christmas is a religious holiday, where people all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, God's gift to mankind. I am a Christian, not an Xian, I celebrate Christmas, not Xmas. "CHRISTMAS" is the name of the holiday that falls on Dec. 25th, not "XMAS." It's like taking the "THANKS" out of Thanksgiving or the "NEW" out of New Years. "Xgiving" "Xyears" etc.
The name of the holiday or "holy day" is Christmas, and we need to use the proper name.
The irony of a guy named "HighGround" taking the low-ground on offense over Xmas is pretty rich!
Also, since you're very Christian I thought you might like a Sunday School lesson. The X in christianity dates back to the conversion of Constantine who reportedly had a vision of Jesus who would give him victory over his enemies if he put the symbol of Christ on his shields (The Chi Rho is formed by superimposing the first two (capital) letters chi and rho (ΧΡ) of the Greek word "ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ" =Christ in such a way to produce the monogram. Widespread in ancient Christianity, it was the symbol used by the Roman emperor Constantine I as vexillum (named Labarum).) This led to the conversion of the Western Roman empire to Christianity. Thus abbreviating Christmas as Xmas ought not be so insulting to you, unless Pedestrian Crossing signs greatly offend you when they "X" out the "Cross."

Maybe the Devs could add an option "keep item" so this item would "stay" with you in every cockpit. Already equipped items get temporarily removed. Of course, this would only work with one item of each category...
Can you even buy more than one of the same item? If I wanted to have the santa in every cockpit?
