For that price shouldn't the xmas lights cover the entire outside of your mech too?

Maybe the Devs could add an option "keep item" so this item would "stay" with you in every cockpit. Already equipped items get temporarily removed. Of course, this would only work with one item of each category...

Can you even buy more than one of the same item? If I wanted to have the santa in every cockpit?

It's intentionally like that to try to frustrate you by making you have to go into the cockpit, remove the item, and put it in other mechs. Maybe some people are dumb enough to buy 10 of each interior item.

I remember when they were promoting modules they said something like if it gets too annoying to keep swapping out your modules, just buy more! I wish this game wasn't free to play x_x

i dropped about $300 us on planet side 2 so far. i cant see myself spending more then my legendary founder status on this game.

All the money in PS2 affected some part of game play.... basically i bought lot's of guns that i get to use. so far MWO hasn't offered my any incentive. you give me a war hammer that looks like a war hammer and I'll pay $100 just for one mech. pet rock... bobble head...$0. spent. shot gun for the cockpit... $2. that I'll consider

For 200-300 MCs, I would buy 3-5 items. For the current price I will buy none, the MCs are better spent on mechbay slots.

I think part of the problem is, not only are these items highly priced, but they are SEASONAL. Once Christmas passes are you going to want to have these items in your mech? I would have been less irritated if they made a bunch of non seasonal items that costed this much because it would have been usable year round.

Bah Humbug,...

Christmas bling is a waste in my opinion. Concentrate on making it more playable then add bling.

OOOOoooo pretty lights and bobble head Santas.......................useless.

Well I do respect the fact that they want some income while developing the game so they can support themselves. I just want decorations that I can use year round and maybe mech paint that isn't so drab. The game is beta so I can be a little understanding with the bugs I'm experiencing but I also agree with getting the game playable. A great example is that horrible sound bug that came up with the recent patch. I can't even play right now the sound is so awful >.<

There's something wrong, when it's cheaper to go out and buy some REAL christmas lights, than it is to buy a few pixels impersonating some.

I'm loving the unanimous approval here.

I guarantee you that there are a lot of people at PGI pointing to this thread at the moment yelling, "SEE! I XXXXING TOLD THEM".

The prices for fluff is way too much. I understand PGI need to make money but $5 is just plain greedy.

I'll save my money, buy some beers and get the kids to turn on and off the lights in the computer room while I'm playing.

PGI should be ashamed at this. Who in their right mind would purchase these item's at these prices? Makes me start thinking about requesting a refund.

I can say that the prices for the christmas items made me not buy MC at all. When I saw what percentage of it would be spent on three items, I said "lolnope." and closed the **** out of the buy MC window.

Seriously. MC in general is too expensive.

Why is this now in Jettisoned Communication?

Anyhoo, I wanted to add that the in-cockpit items (all of them) are visually completely uninteresting. They're very static, poorly modelled and poorly textured. Compare the Santa Atlas for instance to one of WoW's premium vanity pets. Sure, they cost more but they're attractively modelled and textured, well animated and they have personality. They even have custom sounds. They are leagues ahead of the tat we're being offered here. Give us something of that quality and I'll pay.

One other thing. I'm far more inclined to buy the banners than the holiday crap. Give us something that will immerse us deeper into the Battletech universe, not yank us out of it. Help us make our mechs look like our _mechs_, not our _living rooms_.

Most likely because they don't want to hear it. I mean, some of the replies are pretty bad, but others are informative.

Regardless, 13 pages of feedback went into the trashcan from their testers without a single response. Even a "Sorry, guys, but this is how we are keeping the pricing model, so suck it up".

I have to agree with what has been said already. The MC prices of some of this stuff is to high. This should not just be about cockpit toys but painting the mech as well. MC to color your mech should just not be done. C-Bill costs for basic colors should be lowered as well. At the prices given now I would only consider spending MC if I was buying a camo pattern for either a whole class or chassis and all its variants.

I have not bought any more MC beyond my founder bonus. I have only used it to by two mechbays. 300 MC for a permanent mechbay is a good deal. It's the only thing I think is worth the price.

I do not care if what game it is if the company is asking me to shell an amount of money that I could have used to buy a whole new game, Im going to buy a new game. Not spend the same amount on a small add on to to a game I currently play. Whether it's a cockpit decoration only I can see or a new hero mech.

Drop the price more people will buy it. Also if the prices are low, as in impulse buy at the cash register low, individuals will tend to spend more than they would have other wise.

$10.00 for a hero mech would be my limit. it would also have to be an assault.
$3.00 for a camo pattern, if I could use it on more than one mech.
$1-2.00 for a cockpit decoration.
$5.00 for a personally customized camo pattern.
$1-3.00 for an insignia or other decals
$3-5.00 for a customized insignia or other decals

Merc unit's could pay 2 or 3 times as much. After all it would be a guild purchase for every one in the unit.

I think that 3 very generic skins should be purchasable by C-Bills. With colors of cores always costing C-Bills not MC. Keep in mind that skins and unit badges or other decals can be earned with loyalty points when community warfare is worked out and implemented.

Prices are pulled out of my back pocket. I was conservatively estimating on a limit I would pay for an in game item. In a nut shell keep prices of items on the level of candy bars, packs of baseball cards, matchbox/hot wheel cars, and comic books. After all F2P purchases come out of the bubble gum and comic book budget.

Just to be clear, I am an app ***** for my Android devices. Pretty looking background for $1? Boom mine! Cool looking game for $2? Why not....

Fancy thing that only I can see in my cockpit for $5? I will pass!

If they were $1 each, I would collect ALL of them. (And I realize in the end I would end up spending about 3x as much as if I just bought 1 one now) The difference is that your customers feel like they are getting a good deal and are more willing to spend MORE money on your content, rather than feeling ripped off and spending nothing.

My, and my friend's thoughts on Christmas items.
"They made an atlas Santa! That's awesome"
"That's nothing, look at the commando elf!"
(a few quick calculations later ...)
"Holy crap, do you see how much they want for this!?!"
"Yea ... I wanted some too ... oh well"

Yeah I'm kinda used to other games providing Christmas stuff for free. Theses prices are just insulting. Are you guys under that much pressure to make money, even after all the money raised by the founder program? Do you have investors breathing down your neck?

Xmas cockpit items are too expensive. i got 7 mechs and unless you want me to be changing ot the cockpit every time for just silly seasonal crap, 125-mc for a set of lights is a joke, 1/10th price and i'd equip all my mehcs

I'm sitting on a lot of MCs, so you guys got some money to spent.
But I won't buy any more in game stuff because right now I'm feeling bankrupt from you!
The pricing is silly, especially as this is still beta. And get to feel that in every match!

I'm willing to buy stuff for reasonable prices and so invest into your game (job). But they are far from being reasonable!
