One example, as so wonderfully though up by Kyro Wyvern, was thought up after the Christmas items were introduced, more specifically, the Santa Atlas. Since he usually uses a D-DC in games, he would wait until he killed someone and then proceed to say over the loudspeaker: "Ho ho ho, you piece of ****." or something to similar effect. At the same time it would give defeated players a chance to voice their feelings towards their assailant in those final moments as their mech tumbles to the ground, and the only thing that still works is the loudspeaker. One phrase that comes to mind is: "I FORGOT TO FLUSH!!! NOOOOOOO-"
The point I'm trying to make is, that this feature would not be mandatory but would offer a much more hilarious and dynamic form of communication to the battle without having to forfeit all mech control to type something. This is a feature I know I would use, as would many of my friends, if for nothing more than a simple friendly jest. I mean, it's the future. Police have loudspeakers nowadays, why shouldn't mechs?
