Great Commando Ecm Build

COM-2D
Ferro Fibrous
Endo Steel
XL 195 engine-- 126.3kph (without speed tweak)
11 heat sinks
Beagle Active Probe
ECM
Medium Laser
Streak SRM 2
Streak SRM 2
2 tons of Ammo
Sensor Range +15% Module
25 tons of Lightning quick, ECM stealthed, long range scout. Most maps I am able to get across the terrain so fast and spot the whole team while being stealthed near a rock or something. I average 20k to 30k spotting bonus every match, 1 to 2 kills with the streaks, and I can sit behind an Atlas and Jam his ECM all day long with ease. If I get into a bind, I just weave in and out of the enemy mechs so they shoot each other and make for the nearest cover and disappear from their screens.
Just thought I'd share a very reliable and ridiculously fun commando build with you all.
I hope you enjoy!

Wait, never mind, that variant has 1 energy slot.
Swap the medium laser to a TAG and try and find some tonnage to mount a dumb fire SRM rack?
Looks like an interesting build though.

If you sell everything that is on the 2D after you purchase the mech, then the mech cost is down to nearly 1 mil credits.
The XL 195 is around 3+ mil (i had been using this engine in my hunch)
All the other equipment is about 1 mil total.
So lets take a wild guess to around 5 to 5.5 mil? I prefer it over the Raven and Cicada because of the ridiculous speed and maneuverability. Once I get the Elite talents opened up then it will be just that much better.

I wonder if I would get much more Heat dissipation with DHS just inside my engine alone? considering I sometimes get some nasty heat buildup when I'm spamming my streaks and throwing in a random ML on a hot map.
The reason I carry the Med Laser is so that I can do EXACT pin-point damage to certain mech parts that I need to blow off.
Example: An Atlas with a red Arm or Leg. Streaks most of the time will just hit center mass and I will be forever spamming on the Atlas to kill it

How many engine heatsinks fit in the 195?

Oh, and the Sensor Range Module.
runs 134 kph, max armor and packs a mean punch.

I completely understand, mounting an SRM2 4 or 6 will allow targeted damage as well, but with less range.
Going to DHS will make the engine internal sinks into 2.0 heatsinks, and external ones to 1.4s.
Your (195) engine holds 7 internal sinks, and you need 10, so going to DHS (and dropping 1 sink) would cost you 5 crit slots and gain you 7.2 heatsinks and 1ton effectively.

7 doubles in the engine alone is equal to 9.8, so every DHS over 1 you can fit outside the engine is gravy. your minimum of 10 DHS is going to net you the equivilent of 14 singles (using a flat rate of 1.4, there is still much debate over engine DHS. do not trust the efficiency meter!)

well, i actually had a med. pusle and ditched that for TAG....
didn't get to play with it yet though.
and you should have plenty of ammo, with only SSRMs you never run hot.

I can't live without my Med Laser, TAG will just have to wait

3x Streak SRM2
2 tons streak ammo
1 med laser
176/178 armor
XL Engine 145
Beagle Active Probe
ECM
Endo-Steel
Can't remember how many heat sinks off the top of my head but there's a good amount to keep my heat under control for a good time.
I focus mainly on support and stick with the group so I don't need a huge engine to run around too much. If any Jenners come in too close I can kill them with ease and in a large group I can hammer larger mechs from behind since I won't be the primary focus target. Also that extra armor really does help a lot in any situation. ~93 kph is still good enough speed to be a nuisance too.
