Really. It works EVERY time. In game. Alt-Tab out. Open Firefox. Go back in game. Frame rate fixed. Not sure why. It may have to do with the way MWO is handling GPU memory or CPU thread allocation. It'll try your settings when I get home to see if it fixes my issue permanently. If not, I'm happy with my Alt-Tab solution for now. lol
Lucky you! Not for me though, works only in the first 4 fps match, after that only restart helps.

Honestly, my connection magically was fixed when I manually changed my POV in my user.config file to 80. I didn't have that before and suddenly I'm back up to 40 fps.
I also deleted my old code in there that I had to enable betty before she was standard.
Either one of those may have fixed my framerates, or it could just be a giant coincidence. *shrug*

Firefox in it's default configuration use the GPU to boost image quality and reduce stress on the CPU. I know it exist because I had to deactivate the GPU usage on Firefox to remote control my computer properly over internet.
Maybe this access to the GPU ressources is what fix the 4fps bug?
In that regard, does starting in the background any other game also fix the 4fps bug?

simple override it with msi afterburner and u don´t need to alt-tabbed out - open FF and tab back anymore.
note if u keep the 3d clocks while only in 2d mode (browsing or watching video as example) the gpu will keep a high power level.
edit
i have no clue why mwo sometime running with 2d clock speed... but i think its the poor programming.

i don´t know why that clocks drops, maybe a memleak?
msi afterburner or other oc tools can override this so that will not appears anymore.
this 4fps issue is not the same as this fps drops during brawling combat !

Maybe this is something that is do to the way they coded the net code. Hopefully, the "from scratch" rebuild of the netcode will fix all of these issues and we'll see across the board system stabilization during gameplay. That's my Christmas wish, at least.
