I just noticed this while outfitting a cicada earlier. The price of a guardian ecm is 400000, and you can use it forever.

Basically, 4-5 games worth of artemis reloads. Guardian ECM does a lot more than just make it difficult for missiles to lock on though, it actually cloaks teammates. This seems like a pretty low price for this fancy technology. I mean, it costs less than some of the weapons do.

Shouldn't it be more like 4,000,000?

ECM and missiles per ton have cost the same for 25 years. Why should it change now?

No offense JM, but so were the heat dissipation capabilities of Double Heat Sinks.

Ursh, all I can say is that I'd buy it even at 40 000 000.

Then again, I like the idea of ECM/Infowarfare. I just hate certain chassis only getting it. PGI can only implement a certain number. People who like seeing it limited usually enjoy one of the chosen chassis.

I Mastered all 4 Commandos twice. Once in closed Beta, once in Open Beta. Time to move on.
Ravens drive me batty with the sound they make.
Cicadas I find dull. It is also just a light bumped up a weight class.
Atlai I don't drive (and just how is allowing an assault to have it yet none of the true mediums or heavies can balanced?)

Because this is an online video game, not a board game, not a card game, not a book. When things are fucktarded to the point that a FOTM continues on to be a FOTG (flavor of the game) then you have a lot better reason to change it than the reason you gave to keep it the same. I despise the changing of $h|t after it's put into the game (or "beta that's accepting money for things that may be changed afterwards", if you like) & I don't think ECM needs to change, but the reason you gave is the dumbest one.

Still falls! True Double sinks should remain double effective to a single sink. Changing them was stupid.

So what if the medium has changed? What is 'fucktarded' is that we cannot negotiate more pay per drop but that is meta game and we don't have that. So we have a zero modifier to cost. What you don't like is what the "Lone Wolves" will have to deal with. You have no patron and no loyalty, but you want the perks for having them. making war is expensive. One lone warrior should not be able to afford to keep a BattleMech in fighting trim. The fact that you can (whether it's barely or comfortable doesn't matter), is handwavium. this isn't buying bullets for assault rifle, it's buying explosive ordinance for a military vehicle.

Actually it's not. It's trading bits for different bits that are decremented by other bits.

Gameplay > all.
