Oh please, he neither blacklisted anyone, nor said he wouldn't drop in 8 man groups. He called out some of the crappier groups we've all seen over the last 5 months for what they do, don't ignore it, it just makes you look bad.
While I know the benefits of groups, I can also respect the reasons for why people pug, or even just pull up in a repair free money making trial mech if K/D isn't their ego trip. Acting like he didn't have a point, and going off on a tangent just makes groups look worse.
Don't do us any favors thanks.
You must have missed the earlier posts where I admitted that there are people that do this but they are not in the majority, not by a long shot as far as i have seen.

The competition last night was very tough. I got rolled more times than I care to admit, but as has been said a few times, when we got beat we all knew it was due to skill, strategy, bugs or some combination thereof. I would love to have weight class matching, tonnage limits or better yet...phase 3, but for now we just have to deal with what we have. 8v8 is far superior to the random drop hell we had in phase 1.
I agree with what Viper69 said too, a month in the 4 man queue made me pretty lazy and I paid a heavy price for that last night.

Heres the thing....
Someone who has ONLY ever PUGed and not joined any premades likely doesn't realize their are different "levels" of premade groups. Some are very informal and mainly drop as a pre-made to play with their group of friends, lets call these folks casual. Then their are more coordinated groups that have command hierarchy, voice comm protocols, pre-drop mech review and builds, practice using formations, etc. Let's call these the competitive pre-mades. These two groups are miles apart and my experience is the the competitive group will usually ROFLSTOMP the casual group 9 / 10 times.
So now the casual pre-mades are facing a similar situation as the PUG only players faced before the 8-man patch. I think PGI realizes this and MM Phase 3 should address this issue of player/group skill and hopefully make each drop a fair match.

This man speaks truth.
We had a team running the other night, first night of 8v8, and - despite having some excellent individual pilots and a working plan, coordination, etc - we were just getting rolled. 8/0 matches, 8/1 if we were lucky. The two or three matches we won? 8/0, 8/1, and 8/5 IIRC.
Last night, different team, 5 wins out of 7, with all but one win an 8/0 to 8/2 match, the other win being 8/3. The losses? 8/1 and a 3/4 cap loss.
In 8v8 and Lone Wolf queue, more matches will likely result in a stomp than in a close fight; or that is my prediction on things.
