Well this thread made the decision to align with the Republic pretty easy. I think I saw a couple more Aussie/space-Vikings in the mix there too.

If one look at the name of planets within the republic one would think it was norwegians and germans that made up the brunt force of the population. (Trondheim, New Oslo, Weingarten and so on)

Which is the first, and the last time Finland is ever mentioned in the history of this supposedly "nordic" faction. What happened to us then? Finnish isn't exactly a language (or a culture) that could ever be assimilated into swedish/norwegian with such totality as to warrant no further mention.

You wouldn't guess it from this thread, but the FRR (canon) has plenty of non-scandanavian citizens. There's a lot of east asian ancentry, particularly in some areas. Biggots in the FRR (canon) sometimes assume they're DC loyalists, which is just silly.
