Hi everyone!
I've searched the forum but I can't seem to find my anwser; I figured I would get a quick and short anwser from more experienced players if I post this here.

I'm guessing it can be moved to guides or FAQ's afterward

I Own 3 variants of the Jenner, 2 of them are unlocked 8/8. I am about to complete the last unlocks of the 3rd.

I'm guessing I will start working on elete unlocks after that.
Once I've completed 8/8 on all 3 mechs, can I sell the 2 I will no longer use or should I keep em all to be allowed to unlock master.

I wouldn't want to sell the mechs if I'm going to have to unlock elite on the 3 chasis to be allowed to work on master

Thx for your reply

Yes, you will have to complete elite on 3 chasis before you can unlock master. However, the in game description does say that to unlock master you need to complete elite efficiency on three chassis of the same WEIGHT CLASS (at least that's what I remember reading). Not that it matters much since you already will have two other jenners that are ready to go.

I would say hang onto them!

Yeah, I'd hold on to them until you unlock master, unless you're planning on doing raven or commando trees too.

once you have all of your elites unlocked you will be able to master all of those chassis, and can sell the ones you do not want.

Just wait until you have all 3 elited first and you will be good to go.

keep them, you need to unlock the elite skills on them all to move to master

It works like this:
To elite any mech you need basic for for three variants of that particular mech.
To master a mech, you need three elites of the mech weight class.

How you go about that is up to you. If you only own Jenners, and you want to Master one of them, then you need three and you need to elite all three.

If you own an elite Commando, and an elite Raven, and you want to master a Jenner, then you need to basic three Jenners, then you can sell off the two Jenners you aren't going to master (or elite), and elite, then master the remaining Jenner.

Complete everything for them before you sell them.

I would recommend getting another mechbay instead of selling your mechs as well, if you can get the MC. You do not get a big c-bill return on your mechs.

Thx for the replies

Lets see if I got it right

In order to unlock Elite, one has to have unlocked the basics on 3 variants of a chasis.
In order to unlock Master, one has to have unlocked the elite on 3 chasis of a weight class.

Additionnal question:

Does that mean that If :
I complete master with the 3 jenners wich are elites... Will I have the master available right off the bat once I start working on Ravens ?

I know It s a long shot, but I m trying to see if there are shortcuts new players can use to prevent them from wasting C-Bills, XP, and time !!

You would still have to unlock basic efficiency with all three ravens, but then you would be able to go straight from elite to master without completing elites for the other ravens.

No.

You will still need to get 3 Ravens through Basic in order to unlock Elite.

However, because you already mastered the Jenner, once you unlock Elite you can sell the Ravens you don't want to use and only 4/4 the Elites on the one you want to Master.

Master only unlocks an additional module slot per variant.

If you do not unlock master on the other variants then you will only have lost the opportunity to unlock the additional module slot for that variant until you buy it again.

Thx again !

I realise it's an awfully long grind to build the Perfect build.

I m guessing that the bonus from master is going to become a *must-have* for the high-ends

( I believe it's a little sad to be forced to use a hull we don't like to achieve our goals )
.. also over time I think it will force people to buy additional slots in the mech-lab(with-real-money) to sustain the amount of mechs necessary to achieve our goals.

Well I guess I m going to have to harass the community longer since I'll be driving lights for the next few months lol

Yea, at the really higher end the extra module slot will be nice.
I am trying to get my final Catapult Master on the K2 and am about 7 aware from that.
I will be happy when that is done.

There is a psychological theory of learning that says that people who have broad experience in similar things can reach a higher level of individual skill. Annoying? Yes, but it is what it is.

If you get on TS things may go a little faster for you too.

I sat on my headset :)
so I can't talk riht now

I know the benefits of TS ... I ve been playing online games for 10 years ... And TS does wonders to turn a PUG into a force to reckon with..

At the moment I m trying to convince a large group of players to leave their sucky games and switch to MWO.. so hopefully they leave mount&blades and planet side alone and join me in this game...

If only there was a way to bring my Mech in mount&blades to show them that fighting with a Sword is just fuking dumb when you can drive a 100 ton tank from the futur. lol

Once you unlock all 4 elites(as in, spend your exp), you can sell the variants you no longer want, and still be able to unlock master on your remaining mech. I did this with jenners, since I only liked the laser boat, and Ravens, since I only liked the Raven-2L.

If you have MC to spare be sure to convert your extra leftover exp to gxp before selling an unwanted mech. Makes grinding gxp just a bit easier.
