Looks like they said 10 heatsinks will do 35% in T3 mc flush. ( hardly any heat lost).
20 heat sinks will do 70%, but that is ballanced because who can fit 20 tons of sinks and have room for weapons

If we get the c-bill purchased flush. well that a little more strategic cause we have 2x a flush. 15% and 20%.

same as MC purchase.

lol. This wont change the game when people are boating 6ppc's.

But what about the airstrike and arty strike accuracy modules?

We do have details now: http://mwomercs.com/...44#entry1996644

They're not near as bad as the Chicken Littles are trying to say they are.

You're late to the party and you're toeing a party line that I'm pretty sure only your clan is gonna manage to hold for very long. Do ya'll get paid for viral?

I fully expect that the MV purchased version will be superior to the c-bill version. Which makes me sad and disappointed.

did u see the post made in command chair about the consumables?

http://mwomercs.com/...44#entry1996644

that's why i'm pissed. Using 2 slots for cbill version is just fine! If you happen to have a mech with more than 2-3 module slots. Which there are few

I just finished reading it as well and yeah, in the long run the MC large coolant may become the only viable choice given that it saves 1 module slot

(you do get 1 extra module slot from mastering the mech as someone have mentioned of course)

in the straightforward term though the C-Bills one is technically looking preferable until you actually have enough module to fill out your module slot since it gives you 2 shot of it rather than just 1 massive shot.

Not really a fan of the idea . For many of the reasons listed here.

No time for a long winded post , so a simple No thank you will need to suffice.

Cheers.

Really bummed about PGI/IGP's choice to do this. I find these kind of consumables to be the offensive P2W category that kept me from playing that game with the tanks.

I like how 3/4 of the 'it's fine' people in this thread have completely and utterly missed the point.

Yes, the coolant item itself isn't especially powerful. However, the overall power of the coolant module is *NOT THE REASON WHY THIS IS BAD*. The reason why this is bad is that, for the first time, there exists a definite, unmistakable in-game advantage to be gained by spending MC instead of waiting a bit longer and saving up to buy with cbills instead. Previous MC stuff was P2bepretty (paint, cockpit items), or P2bedifferent (hero mechs), or P2belazy (regular mechs). This is actually P2bebetter, and it sets an extraordinarily dangerous precedent.

It seems to me that a simple solution to at least lessen the "Pay to Win" wailing would have been to simply give the tier 3 consumable a C-bill equivalent as well.

Tier 3 consumables could still be exclusive to the T1+T2 consumables. The incentive to use the T3 would be in the module slot savings vs the T1+T2 combo.

I wont be investing anything else into MW:O if this is how things are going to be.

If cooling is going to work how I assume it is (pretty straight forward) I'll probably just start playing something else.

From the way it was explained it looks like the small flushes 15% of your heat capacity, and the medium flushes 20% of your heat capacity.

Your heat capacity is 30 + # of HS.

DHS, the first 10 in the engine count as 2.0. The additional heatsinks that take up tonnage or critical space are 1.4.

Anyways, using the small and medium together would flush 35% of your heat bar as seen from in-game.

ONLY if you had 10 HS, read the the thread carefully, with more heatsinks the percentage goes up, we do not know how it affects double versus singles

I believe at the bottom of the link provided it said the MC version requires 2 module slots. The graphic didn't communicate that though. That said, I'm concerned, in a, "Ah, I didn't know my stats could go any lower," kind of way.

The C-Bill and MC purchased coolant flushes with both max out at 35%.
The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will allow 2 uses during a match. (One cools 15%, the other cools 20%).
The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will required 2 module slots to cool 35%, whereas the MC version will only require 1 module slot.
Both C-Bill and MC versions of coolant flush must be repurchased between rounds if used in a match.

Quoted for reference, lads.

It's over!
I cannot believe it!
I thought you never wanted to bring P2W to MWO!?
That means the end of playing this wonderful game for me!!
Too sad we were just trying to organise the german community and just had this great tournament "Kurita vs. Steiner"... I cannot believe it!!

Consumables have no place in MWO. It reminds me of Hawken. Hawken sucked.

I love how much time they spent trying to keep the Hero Mechs from being P2W (they really do spend a lot of time doing this), and then suddenly do this.

It is mind boggling.

I feel dirty saying this, but <hangs head in shame> I agree with Norris.

Well, seems like Paul updated the consumables thread.

So if I understand things correctly, this is how it works:
* buying just the small CB one gives one 15% flush.
* buying just the medium CB one gives one 20% flush
* buying both the small and the medium gives TWO 35% flushes
* buying the MC one gives ONE 35% flush

and they all take up one slot so people who buy two with MC get 70% cooling and cbill buyers get 35%?

maybe I'm being optimistic.. I dont really see this as pay to win... the same cooling ability is purchasable through c bills. I guess it depends on the C bill/ MC breakdown of the pricing. I agree its pretty borderline.. I dont see it as 'the sky is falling' though. Makes some sense now why they have been so reluctant to bring heat management in line with its importance in TT. I very much doubt i'll see many of these in use in my pugelo realm
