More interested in seeing how PGI react to that feedback after we get some live playtesting and data.

Players will in general; **** the bed over anything that they just don't know about.

At the end of the day, in considering the economics of the game, IGP and PGI should also consider the negative publicity that been regarded as a P2W title brings. If it's not too severe, then they can probably take the hit. If it is as severe as golden ammo; they might well be trading short term revenue from a few callously apathetic (and loaded) players for a more stable user base.

Also, they'll be driving away the 'purity of F2P' customers with more overt actions like this.

The most obvious response/solution if this does start to go south is simply to make all three tiers available for purchase with Cbills and MC.

The only way I would accept a coolant flush feature is if it either...

A - Functioned like proper coolant pods (pods take up weight and critical space and will explode like ammo if hit before being used)

or...

B - Dump heat now but reducing your heat capacity and heat sink efficiency for the rest of the match (because you now have less cooling fluid in the system)

The part that kills me is that they killed several of the poll threads. The statistical proof that the majority of people are outraged and the "Everything is gonna be fine" crowd is in the minority this time around. The way I see it keep the Shetstorm raging and visible from space and maybe just maybe someone important will look down.

Summary:


The TWO C-Bill and SINGLE MC purchased coolant flushes with both max out at 35%.

The C-Bill version of coolant HAS TO BE USED TWICE TO EVEN OUT
flushes will allow 2 uses during a match. (One cools 15%, the other cools 20%).

The C-Bill VERSIONS of coolant flushes will require 2 module slots to cool UP TO 35%, whereas the MC version WILL ONLY REQUIRE 1 module slot TO COOL 35%

Both C-Bill and MC versions of coolant flush must be repurchased between rounds if used in a match.
