We should all post in that thread that we'll buy MC for a game that doesn't have coolant flush or any real-money only items that are better than their in-game money alternatives.

The Blizzard Double-BluffTM should not go unnoticed here. We simply cannot hail them as heroes for deciding to not implement something horrible, something that they wanted.

We need to remember that this attitude will always remain now. They will try to find another way later, once the rage has died down.

They opened pandora's box.

I'd really like to see a game environment where the currently implemented content has established a better standard of balance before new and potentially significant game-altering content is added.

Just sayin'TM

I was upset when they took out the centurion 9ah and replaced it with the pay only yen lo wang. Right here they decided to sacriface gameplay for money in my opinion.

I found it odd that we havn't seen any more concept art. We used to get them once a month, but now we haven't seen any since December. Read into that what you will.

It is only logical to try to implement pay for "this" features. They want money and insetad of rethinking the way they can get money of us - especcialy with so many stating their availability to invest money in the game in certain conditions - they are copying the same recipe from other similar games, which aside the wrong approach - trying to beat the sector leaders at their own game will be if not impossible, very hard - it annoys the players and push out a lot of those who already are sick of companies trying to extort money from them without providing anything.

I have nothing agains new features - we can adapt, we can learn to use them - but when they are available only for MC or there are so expensive in cbills that you cannot afford them anyway - then we have a problem huston.

Amen. I've been saying that.

What I was anticipating is that they would use this tier 3 ******** to trojan horse in consumables and make us all act like this was a good compromise.

Frankly, I think everyone saying that DEVS GOTTA EAT THEY HAVE TO MAKE MONEY are ******* ********.

PGI had a good thing going here, I was more than happy to buy cockpit items, camo, camo patterns.

I always looked forward to buying new camo patterns and cockpit items, I even had enough confidence in the game for once to buy premium.

And I'm not the only one, if you spend any amount of time on the forums, you'd know that there are people who dump literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars a week doing things like converting XP and buying mechs.

All this will do is destroy consumer confidence and make people not want to spend money, it's completely counter-productive.

I've been playing MWO non-stop every day without fail since the day the servers went live and these past few weeks are the first time I've ever quit playing and spent more time on the friggin forums than the actual game itself.

The monetization argument makes no sense when they were already making lots of money, way way more than they could have selling MC modules. So unless they end up costing more than paint, modules or cockpit items, this entire thing is just a debacle.

I can't believe it went down this direction, even something like it should always be turned down.

Its what happens when we get broken apart one by one and they jump at the chance to ruin everyone's hopes and dreams

Coolant Flush... Like 3rd person... Is something the devs have said in the past would not be in MWO. There are posts in this very thread to that effect as it pertains to coolant flush.

The difference is, we caught the 3rd person idea long before it was implemented... And let them know how we felt about it... And who knows it might still happen.

But this coolant flush thing is right around the corner... Its practically in the game already.

As many know I defend PGI quite a bit around here. But I can't defend thim on this... Putting something in that they themselves said would be bad for the game...

I've basically lost any desire to play the game for the moment... Waiting on PGI to adequately explain themselves, or better yet.... Throw this idea out all together.

Pretty much my feelings as well.... I don't have the urge to play anymore as it feels like I'm wasting my time with something that will be ruined soon. We all need to get back together and stand tall against them

While we all knew that consumables were coming. The tiered system was a bit of a curve ball. We'll have to see what pricing is like.

Not that they will listen to us but do you have any suggestions on Coolant Pricing that is single use? Or does anyone have any viable pricing model that would be fair and balanced?

Single tier of coolant flush. 1000 c-bills per use. 3 uses per match. Reduces heat by 25% of your total heat threshold.

But they won't do it because it wouldn't make them money. This begs the question: Will they implement features that don't create new revenue streams now?

For me this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Significant changes need to be made to equalize the difference between free players and those who pay.

I love mechwarrior, but pgi has wronged us as a community.

Good news is that Heavy Gear is getting a reboot.

Sadly, with what little information that's available the Heavy Gear reboot looks to be very P2W as well.

Isn't it being done by the MekTek guys who abandoned the MW fans to jump onto Heavy Gear? Correct me if I'm wrong.
