In this game, or in other MW games where it actually works?

It has never actually worked right in any game. To work right, the ammo type would have to be selectable.

Can we get a "meh" option?

Good weapon, but not really my style.

I really want to like it, and I use it sometimes just for fun, but it objectively just isn't very good.

Ideally it would have select able ammo, but I think there could be an easy fix to make it useful until that can happen. Give the pellets a uniform spread all the way out to max range, say roughly the width of an atlas' side torso. Doesn't make sense within the laws of real physics, but it would at least simulate the flak effect that it is supposed to have.

Its needs to explode properly like flak ammo at proximity, instead of acting like a shot gun blast.

Completely agreed with the selectable issue... wonder why is it so hard to implement when it is already possible in other games. I love it but it doesn't mean I am owning with it. LOL! Its just fun but I hadn't really beasted with it much nor killed any mechs outright 1 to 1.

I used LBX' extensively in all of the previous MW games, but it's pretty worthless in this one.

Look at how expensive it is. It's the best weapon in the game. It does a ton of crit seeking.

Lighter, has a longer range, and ought to be better. Is it? No. It's useless. It is worse at causing critical damage, it is worse at causing raw damage output, it is worse at long range shooting, it is terrible. It has one and only one redeeming factor, and that is only relevant if you don't know how to fight fast-moving targets at close range.

With air-burst rounds it'd be a bit better, but what it really needs select-fire between solid and cluster rounds.

Stupidly expensive for what it is. If it was cheaper, I'd say it's good.

Doubled up or combined with an SRM6, it makes armor go kaboom.

Love the weapon...

...hate how its implemented in game. It about as effective as slapping a mech with a wet fish.

NO, stop saying that. It does no more crit seeking than other weapons. It doesn't work like in TT. Stop spreading myths. It's actually worse than other weapons since it only crits for 1 dmg instead of 5/10/20 for other ACs

I vote hate. I play light mechs only, and I ran into someone running 3 of them.

Try doubled up AND with the SRM6...doubled.

Good weapon but incredibly situational. I know all weapons are situational, but the LBX requires extra attention. Not really plug and play or suitable for casuals.

As a close range weapon, its not bad.

I don't ever want to see it be what it was meant to be in TT. In TT, on the roll of a 2 for location hit, you had a chance for a thru armor critical. That's what the LBX was intended to take advantage of.
