We at A.C.E.S. strive to be both a Casual and Competitive Group. That may seem like a contradiction to most and to some extent it is, but we have a place for both the serious and casual gamer within our ranks and there is always someone to Drop with in our channels. We do not carry or enforce any type of military rank structure here, but we do have Chief Administrators that have either proven their dedication to the Corp through initiative and effort or have been with us since Inception. These individuals are expected to be shown respect and consideration when advice is given. Most, if not all, have been playing MWO since closed Beta or come from other highly ranked competitive online games so give them deference when and where necessary.

Why join the A.C.E.S?

We value quality over quantity. We want to focus on being a close-knit group, and as such we are looking for people who fit well within that structure. We are somewhat newly founded, meaning, we have a solid core built from previous Mechwarrior iterations and other games. We hope to grow this core group with a solid group of like-minded people.

What we are looking for in you?

If you come in with a teamwork-oriented attitude, you'll be welcomed. If you come in realizing that this is a game, not your life, you will enjoy us. If you come in with a sense of humor, it'll help you understand what we're about. (Bringing Beer can help too. I prefer Paulaner Salvator.) If you show us the respect we afford you, you will be treated well in return. I have to be blunt also. If you come here believing that you're the best player this game has ever seen, you probably won't mesh well. We don't deal well with arrogance; (Ok, we had to make an exception for Phil) we're looking for people willing to learn, as well as people willing to share the knowledge they have with others, to benefit from, as well as contribute to the unit. Ultimately, we want a well-functioning team, and we expect you to want to be a part of that. Otherwise, we ask that you look elsewhere.

Who are you guys really?

A.C.E.S. was founded by Sean Lang & Bombadil back in 2011 with the announcement of MWO. We are currently operated by Cattra Kell, AdamO, Mechakaiju, Pancakeman, IronWarsmith and Tyfus.
We started as a close knit group of friends that enjoyed playing well as a team and have grown from there.

How do I enlist and/or get more information?

For starters jump on the NGNG TeamSpeak and get to know us. Many of us can be found fermenting in the A.C.E.S. Channel, you can't miss it, we're at the top of the Mercenary Unit list. Pop an application in at our website http://www.aces-hq.com it will be reviewed by myself and the rest of ACES, then, let the good times roll!

Yes, we are currently aware that our website is down at the moment. We are working to fix the issue (not sure if it because of the sudden Clan Invasion or if Comstar has turned on us ). Hopefully we will get it back up and running as soon as possible. I will post any updates regarding the status of the ACES website here and will post when it has been returned to service.

Despite the website being down you can still find us on the NGNG TeamSpeak and we will be more than happy to get some drops in with you if you want. You can also still find our Podcasts in their usual place and our latest Podcast from Monday is still up on Youtube.

ACES is open for business in Community Warfare. Right now we are on a 14-day contract with Davion, but at the end of those 14-days we will be signing a new contract possibly with a different faction depending upon the votes of our members. Don't be worried that we will stick with one faction only. We are mercenaries and will go where the battlefield takes us.

So if you are looking for a good group of players to drop with, be it for Community Warfare, Competitive events, or just for some casual fun then look know further. ACES is the place to be.
