a light that goes 151 kph stock ... not bad i think you are looking only at weapons not capabilities also it shows the developers intent to increase the max speed in game

The variants they are talking about are these ones:

HER-3S1 - The 3S1 is the second of the electronic warfare versions of the Hermes and first saw use in 3049. This version has identical modifications to the 3S but instead of the Beagle Active Probe it carries a Guardian ECM Suite.

HER-3S2 - The 3S2 is the most rare and the most extreme of the electronic warfare versions of the Hermes. This version carries almost identical changes to the 3S except that one of the Medium Lasers has been sacrificed to free weight for a TAG laser designator, allowing the 'Mech to act as a spotter for Arrow IV artillery rounds.

It should be fairly interesting to see those ingame.

I'm not sure even a comprehensive redesign could make the Hermes look any better than it does. It looks like an overweight Commando that had one of its arms amputated at the elbow.

I think this News Flash actually means the Hermes II.
The Hermes II is a staple of the FWLM. The older, star league, Hermes, not.

I certainly hope they don't do the Hermes II.

I'd much rather the Clint, a 6/9/6 jump medium.

Add to that it carries the Sloane 220 Lockover, the only t&T computer the clans DIDN'T replace, and you should have an extra module slot or two.

i like the Clint too, but its armor is very light and the repair costs were an issue in TT due to the rarity of parts.
