What would be the best change for ECM?

After reading topics how the ECM is broken, game changing, and OP. I looked for user comments and suggestions here and MWO facebook and selected some good ideas that may change how players view the ECM.

How about an "ECM should increase lock time but not prevent locks" option?

And a "ECM should reduce detection range by 50% instead of 75%" option?

Check my ideas; I just want other tech (BAP, TAG, NARC) to at least partially counter ECM.

Currently ECM prevents LRMs from getting any sort of lock outside of the 181-200m band. What I think it should do is still allow the lock but increase the time it takes to achieve the lock. Like it does now if you have someone TAGing them for locks. That way lock on weapons aren't completely useless but they are harder to use.

As for the other. ECM keeps your mechs hidden until the enemy gets within 200m of them. I think it should be changed to 400m.

i think ECM is fine as it is, pilots just need to learn how to counter it, or get around it before starting QQ'ing in the forums how supposedly "op" it is :P

I think, main reason pilots whine it being OP, is because: now enemy teams using ECM, sticks together to hug that ECM carrier thusly, they are in a way, working together more closely, which changes game a lot.

ECM is fine. I've gotten stomped by ECM groups and stomped them in PUG groups. Use your eyes, scan the surrounding area, use thermal, use TAG, move off a hill. Basically, the only people who should complain are streak cat drivers, but a smart one can easily pick off stragglers. Besides, not everyone is always covered by a 180m ECM envelope. Not sure why there is so much whining about this...
