Yes, have to admit, the hotfix for UAC5 knocked the FPS all the way down to pre-patch level. I just don't get it, how do they manage to pull it off? How are these things even related?

beyond horrific fps (worse then i've ever had) my g-600 mouse seems to have lost support for the game as well. PGI please take time to i don't know TEST what you are doing so that you can do something without breaking 80 other things.

Try deleting your shader cache.

/MWO/User/Shaders

Backup if you so desire, delete the folder, and restart the game.

The thing I find odd about the performance is that in my case at least with a 560-ti it is in no way affected by video settings. I've tried every combination from low to ultra high at every resolution and my game still starts at 60 FPS, then when I get about 1/3 off the way through a map drops to about 15. It's not effects either, I was on Frozen staring at a cliff at point blank range with no mechs on my screen getting 15 FPS, yet at the start of the match with my 7 teammates I dont have a frame hit.

So that points to CPU usage, but my CPU when running the game tops out at about 60% usage, so it isnt maxed out by far. This all started with the first November patch, in closed beta I had 60 FPS that dropped to maybe 45 on ultra high settings. Now I get 15 in combat at low settings. Something is majorly screwed up.

EDIT: I've deleted my shader cache, reinstalled, rolled back Nvidia drivers, tried Nvidia control panel fixes.... Nothing changes with my FPS, I think actually I might run a bit better on ultra high than low.

This is the point. I am SURE that my ystem is more than capable of runing this game at Ultra, because it's SMOOTH AS SILK when spectating. When playing, though, it doesn't matter how low you set the options, it's still gonna get (much) below 20 in a fight. So it's not the hardware, something is seriously screwed in the code.

In my case even I was running a dual core AMD 5600+ before with 4 gigs of RAM, I was getting 15-20 FPS. My processor died early September so I switched to a quad core i5 2320 and I was able to run 45-60 FPS even in massive fights for about a month and a half.... then the November patches came and I'm back down to 15 FPS. How can I get a processor that is roughly 10 times better and get the same FPS?

I hope this never happens to me. So far I have had no changes after any patches to date.

Exactly this. The code is very far from optimized so depending on how overkill your machine is, you'll rarely get over 40fps regardless of video quality settings.

I run on Ultra, and vary from 20-50 fps at any given time. It seems too random except for Frozen City Night where the lack of post process filters and shaders 'n ****, I get 60.

Eventually, they'll work the kinks out but the game is still very much playable.

As long as the beta is making as much additions to the coding as it is each patch, it's worth it to clear the program out entirely and do a clean install with each patch day that rolls in. While it doesn't always make a difference, there's certainly plenty of cases where it had.

Sounds about right

They've been told since the very beginning of closed beta that the game runs like crap and then seemingly runs fine while spectating. Never did anything about it though. Pretty sure it has to do with their servers and netcode being so trash that it bogs down your performance, similar to what happens on DayZ when the server you're on needs to be reset.

After Each Patch the

line
<Attr name="OptionCfg.sys_spec" value="0"/>
in the attributes.xml

should be resettet to 0

This Means when you configured something you need to set it back to 1
for your Performance tweaks.

So the line should read

<Attr name="OptionCfg.sys_spec" value="1"/>

for costum Performance Tweaks working !

The Second Post in this thread is shows how to set the Value

http://mwomercs.com/...-end-computers/

I suggest to the players that having Drops in DPS after the small Patch to activate the costum Configs.
That would be the best explanation why the FPS jumped up and down.
In one Patch PGI actived them per accident and in the next Patch they deactivated them as it should be.
