This one... made me laugh very hard... its so funny because its completely true.

I then laughed harder at the sig above this post... because it is completely true and completely hilarious.

Amazes me that you think this game is slowly improving.

Adding bits and pieces of content every month and a half means absolutely nothing when there are multiple game breaking bugs that have stuck around for months. Gold Screen? No HUD after shutdown? The 50 different map bugs? Convergence being a joke? And don't forget the netcode and hit detection being much worse than it ever was in Closed Beta, and it was HORRIBLE.

Back in the day, if a mech shut down, you used to be able to do damage to it. It was glorious. I remember when I could aim at a strafing Hunchback's head and have the damage register on the head instead of the left arm. It was glorious.

I'll never forget those days. I thought the netcode and hit detection was a pile of trash then, but I really had no idea how grateful I really should have been. RIP Slightly less horrible netcode and hit detection, you will be missed.

Mashing out pittances of content and GRAB DEAL NOW cashmechs is not improving the game, sorry.

You know out out of the 250+ games ive played so far, I've only got 1 yellow screen and 2 no huds after shutdown. I also play lots of mechs with heavy lasers, big acs, and my personal favorite, gauss cannons (I despise most missile systems, boring). The simple thing is that I don't seem to have issues with hitting my targets, in the chest or head repeatedly, while they are moving or stationary. I also cannot think of a point where target convergence was ever and issue, maybe there was a time when my cursor cross-hairs and core cross-hairs didn't keep up with one another but that was because my piloting, not the game. I can only think of a few instances where I have, and that was directly related to the odd lag spike i get. I normally run around 30 ms in game. I wonder, could it be that internet connection speed is to blame? 200+ ms can cause some strange things to happen in any game.

I'm not saying there isn't issues with net-code but I think a lot of people use it as a crutch for doing stupid **** and getting killed for it. So I request something of you the next time you die to apparent net code or because you don't have a hud, do two things. First think about why you just got powered down in a bad situations to start with, second think about looking up a keycode command, Shift F11. It should toggle your hud on and off. Its strange, I know this can help with your problem and I don't even have it that often, hell I've probably played less game than you as well, and lets not even talk about forum posts.

As for the last bit here, simply put, cash mechs pay the bills for Mechwarrior Online. That simple, they are needed, and the design team for mechs and the programming team for mechs probably don't even drink the same energy drink in the morning, let alone work on the same tasks.

I'd rather be playing but I'm stuck on a 2 week trip without a computer that can function during matches.
So I just read the forums and wish it was over.

I can say this. ECM brings lots of changes, it will be interesting to how it plays out.

Maybe if the game was more than just a very lame MOBA in a pseudo Mechwarrior skin
Maybe if there weren't so many down right embarrassing bugs
Maybe if they could actually hire talent that could give us real joystick support
Maybe if the game wasn't a complete and utter train wreck

Folks would be playing the game instead of "whining" on the forums.

Not a MOBA, more like deathmatch with base capture.

Kinda wish there was a MOBA mode where you could flatten hordes of IFVs, tanks, and infantry. All while trying not to engage enemy mechs unless you could flatten them.

Improving in what way? More content? That would be great if the performance of the game didn't get worse with every patch. Since the last patch i get more CTD's, black screens, and fps drops than actual playable games.
I was hoping to get a Stalker but that patch might be the one that stops me playing at all.

So i spend more time on the forums because i can't play much  (even when playing 12+ hours/day)

All these are rough opinionated estimates.

From reading forum titles and skimming content in General and Suggestions...

60% of the community thinks ECM is broken, that MWO is broken, that the dev's are ignoring the glaring flaws, etc...
30% of the community thinks ECM is fine, that the game is progressing fine, and that people just need to l2p, etc...
10% of the community is eating popcorn and enjoying the show and learning how to have fun in giant walking tanks.

I would play the game if it was still worth playing, but with the hud flickering, the ****** sound quality, and lack of balance, I can have more fun chatting here about how screwed up the devs are than playing the game

If you don't have the emotional fortitude to withstand people criticizing your favorite video game, perhaps internet message boards are not a place you should be.

Well it seems suddenly everything on here is whining. There are enough thought-out and well written analysis of certain issues the game clearly has or at least might have, but they're instantly bashed by the "BOOO STOP WHINING DELCIOUS TEARS" crowd.

Since its in "beta" i think its totally fine if people want to complain. The devs need the feedback of actual players to tweak the game. If an issue is being complained about more than average, it's probably a good indicator of it's impact.

People just don't look outside themselves often enough. I think a lot of the people that love ECM were probably bitching (along with everyone else) when LRMs were super OP mode. And streakcats. Yet nobody seems to point out that they are still bitching about streakcats (directly or otherwise). People have different play styles. Get over yourself. All these "oh im so skillful at this slow *** style of game...oh man my aim is awesome, I don't need streaks/LRMs so I hate anyone that uses them"." You know who you are.

Some people just like cheesy ****. Deal with it. If you aren't good enough to overcome those types of players and builds, maybe you should shut up and get to it with more practice rather than praising how ECM is so great and how skillful and strategic you are now cuz it magically (1.5t) disabled those threats from you.

I have nothing to hide. I bitched about ECM...but Im slowly figuring out ways to annoy the hell out of anyone that uses them. So I am adapting. meh.
