Admit it, you'd start giggling like a school girl if your dragon suddenly got JJs for no explainable reason.

The only problem with the Grand Dragon is that you can easily fit our current Dragon 1C with the exact same equipment on a Grand Dragon, ERPPC, 3 Medium Lasers, LRM 10, DHS and a 360XL.
Might be nice, the LRMs would be in the side torso which would allow some different loadouts instead of being limited to a missle in the CT and would still be a heavy energy platform.
Might also be worth a look. Multiple missle hardpoints, balistic and energy as well. Not sure if this would make the cut, but it seems interesting.

DRG-1G Grand Dragon Emory - His Dragon receiving among the earliest new-tech "Grand" upgrades in the lead-up to the War of 3039, Sorenson's Sabres member Emory Wilk's Grand Dragon was rebuilt with less refined bulkier Endo Steel chassis and 3039 era double strength heat sinks, retaining only the Medium Laser and carrying a prototype ER Large Laser and Telos DecaCluster LRM-15 with two tons of reloads as its main weapons. DRG-1G Grand Dragon Douglas - This first generation Grand Dragon was customized by Team Banzai MechWarrior Douglas Running-Elk. Not keen on high temperatures, Douglas refitted his captured Grand Dragon to run with cooler weapons. He had the 'Mech's PPC removed for a Class 5 Autocannon with one ton of ammunition. He then downgraded its LRM Launcher to a 5 Rack with single ton of ammunition. He removed all the forward medium lasers and replaced them with a single 6-tubed Short Range Missile Launcher. BV (1.0) = 909[9]
Might also be worth a look. Multiple missle hardpoints, balistic and energy as well. Not sure if this would make the cut, but it seems interesting.

actually. pretty sure none of the dragon variant allow for a PPC in the right arm (weapon location does matter) or a STOCK 360XL. Being able to toss in Endo, drop the LRM 10 for an ASRM6 or 2 Streak packs would free up enough to upgrade close to a 400XL. Swapping the ER PPC for a standard lets me control my heat curve, and 3 mediums and the SRMs would be PLENTY of punch with that speed. (115 kph Dragon makes me smile.......)

Thing is im already using a 360XL Dragon with 4 med pulses, 6 DH, and a SRM6. I brawl like crazy on it, its so much fun. Thing is i would totally giggle like a school girl if i had JJ's too, it would just make it more FUN! And thats what counts in a video game.
